I recently used Meguiar's Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit on my car. The process was straightforward, and the results were fantastic. The headlights now look brand new, with a noticeable difference in clarity. The included coating provides extra protection against re-oxidation, which is a lifesaver for longevity. I used it over the weekend while someone was mowing the lawn outside, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It definitely saved me a trip to the auto shop! Highly recommend this kit for anyone looking to spruce up their headlights without breaking the bank.

This is an exceptional product. Meguiar’s doesn’t fail to deliver. I used this kit along with Muguiar’s PlastiX polish. The kit comes with two sanding pads of 1000 grit and 3000 grit. A hand sander and the UV coating. It is easy to use and will restore your lights. I’ve attached before and after pictures on my F150 Morimoto headlights that I restored with this kit and the PlastiX polish. You will need to wet sand and polish with a buffer pad and drill. Watch online videos on wet sanding and restoration of headlights on YouTube and you will be surprised with the results.

It works as shown, but came with just a flimsy sponge. I was pleased at the quick results, BUT, the headlamps only stayed clear for 2 weeks and is now back at being cloudy. I followed instructions to a Tee and don't understand why the results couldn't last.

Wow! I have an older 2008 Honda Pilot. The headlights are foggy and have been refinished many times in the past. I have tried refinishing systems that attach to my drill. I've tried refinishing systems that are just wipes. I was ready to give up and just get new headlights. This was easy to use and gave me headlights that looked about 99% as new. 100% satisfied with the results easy to use. Use much prefer this to other things I've tried in the past and would recommend this without hesitation and will use it again when they get foggy in the future. Very much of an improvement from cheaper products. I was quoted 150 to refinish my headlights and cannot imagine a better result.

This stuff worked so well and so easily that I feel obligated to review it. I used a different product last year. It took quite a lot of time (about 2+ hours) and work to clean the plastic and then buff it back to something like a clear, glossy-ish surface that the headlight could shine through. It didn't really look good, the headlights were not very bright, and they yellowed again within six months. I picked this Meguiars product for my second try because of the protector solution, which appeared to do two things I wanted: a) it fills in the sanding scratches on the plastic lens and makes it shiny and transparent again without any buffing or polishing b) it will prevent the lens from yellowing again so quickly. I was totally right about the first one. You basically sand off the lens with one pad and the cleaning solution, taking off the yellow layer of the plastic and leaving it white, almost bluish, but totally obscured with fine scratches. Then you spray on the protector and the scratches get filled in, leaving the lens looking clear, like slightly wavy glass. It achieved this very well, and easily. Total time less than one hour, including waiting between coats. Didn't even have to rub very hard. I don't yet know about the second one. Too early to tell, it's only been 4 days. The protector has cured, the headlights look very clear, and they are definitely throwing more light on the road in front of me. I will just have to watch and see if they yellow. I will probably ask the manufacturer if it would help to refresh the protector periodically. In sum, I am very pleased with it, both ease of application and great results. I will try to remember to update this review after 6 months or a year, once I know something about the longevity of the application.

Works okay but not as good as they say, their has to be a better quality product that gets all done with a better result, still have a dull lens. A little bit disappointed

I never actually used the kit - except for the clear coat. Instead I got a good orbital sander and start with 150 grit and work my way up to 10k grit. That makes a clouded and dim headlight look really good. The problem is that it still has micro scratches. I finish off with a light coating of this headlight UV resistant clear coating. This eliminates the micro scratches while giving some protection from UV rays. I have done a half dozen vehicles this way. It is relatively quick and easy and the headlights come out looking almost factory new. The UV protection coating is a small 4oz bottle but it has enough spray when used correctly to do at least 30 headlights because the headlights only need a light coat.
