I found this Gemara much more helpful than the Artscroll Gemara for my Daf Yomi.Whereas the other volume is densely packed with text, there is space in the Kore Noe edition between the phrasings. The pictures are beautiful, and the Steinsaltz translations are very helpful. And if you want the Vilna edition text, that is provided in the back, as well.This book helps make studying Daf Yomi a joy.

I have the Schottenstein edition of the Talmud Baveli and have read others but nothing can top the Koren Edition of the Steinstalz Talmud Baveli. Especially for a student with minimal (I won't say no) background it is essential. The layout of English translation to text and the arrangement of commentaries at essential points is very supportive. The publication itself though is what sets it apart. It simply matches the beauty of the edition to the beauty of Torah itself. Obviously heralds the coming of Mashiach when 'your wellsprings shall spread out ...'. About the only complaint I might make is the price but it is value for money.

If you love to read and learn this series is great. They make a beautiful addition to any room and new volumes are being printed very quickly. Also makes a great gift for someone that wants to study Talmud in english.

Fantastic! Finally, a Talmud that is ideal for many who are participating in Daf Yomi. You will be unable to put it down. After all, that is what learning Torah is all about!

I am buying each volume as it is issued. My only complaint is that you sent the first volume, Berakhot, without a dust jacket, and when I asked, you refused to send one.
