I so far have made the roasted cauliflower and potato sandwich and the Lebanese chicken wings. Both delicious. Next I am planning to make the Pumpkin kibbeh and Red pepper and walnut dip. The book has so many favorite recipes and many excellent ones new to me. This cookbook is a treasure! I hope this author continues to share her love of Lebanese cooking, I have learned a lot from this wonderful cookbook.

Mezza recipes great
Best Lebanese cookbook so far, for me at least. Lots of photos in color and the interesting condiments and sauces are easy to prepare and make all the difference. Especially the cilantro/garlic pesto/salt which is perfect for vegetable soups, much like the french pesto can be. The Lebanese pita bread 'tacos' are perfect. Fresh and appetizing mid-eastern food - simple to prepare. I use this book often.

Much to love about this book!
This book has lots delicious meatless recipes, but for those who eat meat, there are plenty of recipes with meat as well. The format of the book is great: tons of color pictures and not a huge, unwieldy tome, easy to manage while cooking. The recipes are not fussy or strict. I love her approach. I didn't know much about Lebanese food, but I'm a fan now. Also I follow the author on her Instagram account, which is gorgeous (taste.of.beirut). She seems warm and generous.

Great recipes - dishes prepared the authentic Lebanese way
I have purchased a number of Lebanese recipe books over the past few years in the hope that I might trace back to some of the dishes that my grandmothers used to make and they fell short of my expectations in some ways. However, Joumana Accad's book: Taste of Beirut, took me straight to the recipes that I had been searching for, with well-defined methods and a wonderful storyline. Authentic Lebanese Recipes!
Joumana, I do not have the words to really express to you just how much I enjoy this cookbook. I really love everything about this book! You have truly found your calling! The recipes are great. All of the recipes that I have made are perfect. They are easy to follow too. The photographs are so beautiful that they make the food come to life. Thank you for all of your efforts in putting this together.

FANTASTIC! My favorite part is that it contains photos for each recipe. Most books don't do that. It helps give you an idea to expect for each recipe. I love Mediterranean food and this is by far my favorite book.

I was looking for an authentic lebanese cook book to have in my kitchen , the one i wanted is only available in lebanon (someone was selling it for 180$ here lol) so i started looking for something else and i came across this wonderful book, when i first got it, i started reading and couldnt put it down, very true and authentic to most our main dishes and she adds few recipes of her own which i found nice! U can tell she is defenitly from Chouf Area / drouze maybe ! And its a nice change for me being from the metn area !!!! Great book and thank u!!
