Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse: The Ice Sword Saga: Disney Masters Vol. 9 (The Disney Masters Collection)

Tolkienish Mouse and Goof Done Right
These long sci-fi/mythological Disney yarns I can usually take or leave, but Massimo De Vita's engaging writing and scrumptious art makes his "Ice Sword Saga" series a take-take-take. It's much appreciated that Fantagraphics collected the complete first two parts here, rather than them see serialization in a regular monthly comic - they're far better suited in a hardback. Translated and localized with great wit and affection for the original Italian stories and Mickey Mouse and Goofy's legacy (this Fantagraphics version is not to be confused with the gibberish version circulating on Comixology). Definitely recommended for Disney comics fans. [Full disclosure, I regularly contribute to the Disney Masters series, but I had nothing to do with this volume.]

This is amazing
This book and vol two are both outstanding.I would highly recommend getting them both. It follows Mickey and Goofy traveling to another dimension in the style of the sword and sorcery genre with alot of Norse influence. It was made by an Italian guy in the 80s whose dad was making Disney comics before he was born. These are the first time being published in English which is awesome. If any of this sounds interesting just buy already!
