Q: would 7 be to old for this toy?

Sandra, I'm really not sure if a 7 year old would be too old for this toy. I would compare these toys to very easy Transformers figures. My son loves Transformers, but he is too young to be able to manipulate the parts to transform between a robot and a car. He loves the Super Hero mashers because he can take them apart and put them back together very easily, and there is no way he can break them. He often does not have the strength to put a body part back on the torso after he takes them off, so we have to help him, and I would say that a 7 year old will probably have no trouble doing that. I think if your 7 year old loves super heroes, then he or she will probably enjoy these. However, I would HIGHLY recommend buying at least 2 or 3 to start with, because if you purchase only one, it won't be very much fun for the child because there are no body parts to mix and match! I think if the child loves super heroes, and you can buy several super hero mashers, then it would be a good idea. But if you plan on purchasing only one, or the child doesn't have a love for super heroes, then I think it would be best to find something else.
