Nearly Natural Artificial Bougainvillea Hanging Flower Basket Faux Plant for Indoor Decoration with Brown Wicker Hanging Basket, 32"D x 32"W x 24"H

I have read so many poor reviews about this hanging plant especially the ones that said it turned the leaves blue. I bought two of these and they both looked great hanging outside on my patio. They withstood the rain, snow, direct sun exposure. The reason why I bought the exact same 2nd one was to replace the 1st one. This was a result of my ongoing battle with the birds. They preferred this (as well as the other Nearly Natural hanging plants I had) as opposed to the 5 birdhouses I had placed in various locations around my house. It was after all my artificial plants were occupied that the remaining ‘homeless’ birds used the birdhouses. I don’t know if I liked it more than the birds but I brought the new ones inside and will hang them up in the spring. It was not my intention for this to be a home for the birds but I now learned my lesson! The plants from this company are really natural looking and look great hanging outside (or inside) whether they’re hanging from a swivel hook, Shepard’s stand, underneath the eaves, and any place where they are placed! I have found this company has a very good quality and selection of hanging floral arrangements to choose from - worth the price! The one I received didn’t take too much time to get the flowers and leaves separated to get them to look even more natural. I did need to adjust the rope for it to hang straight. Depending on where this is placed and what it hangs from the basket will spin around if it’s breezy but it won’t fall off the hook.

Beautiful artificial flowers. I hung on the front porch and get loads of compliments on the quality and color! Easy to arrange/bend stems to create a beautiful arrangement. They have held up well thru several thunderstorms with high winds.

This is a great purchase. These beauties have thrived through searing North Carolina temperatures and thunderstorms. A lovely addition to my patio!

My wife and I love the 2 of these hanging baskets we ordered. They're hanging on our deck and look absolutely lovely and real. However, I had to take some ingenious measures to keep them that way. 1) The wind was turning the baskets 'round and 'round until the hanging cord was completely twisted almost into a knot. So I used 2 zip ties and an eye screw in the wall to stop them from turning in the wind. 2) The next problem I encountered was the cord slipping, which made the basket hang at a tilted angle, which looked horrible. So I used 2 small zip ties on the hanging cord to stop it from slipping. See the photos below.

So far I've had my #6608 Bougainvillea basket hanging outdoors under the overhand of my porch for just over a month. My friends and neighbours are astonished when I point out that it is artificial. It looks quite natural, even from 5 to 6 feet away! Now when I took it out of the shipping box it was uneven and a few leaves and flowers had fallen off, so I did spend about 5 minutes re-attaching them and re-positioning most of the stems to give it a fuller appearance. It has thus far survived the breezes and occasional strong winds of San Antonio without loss of a leaf or flower. It was roughly twice the price of a live hanging plant, like a geranium or begonia that typically die off in a year or less in my care, so it only has to last 2 years to be cost effective for me! And even if it lasts only one year, not having to water it twice a week nor arrange for a care-giver when I travel is well worth the added cost. The only drawback so far has been that it is easily tossed and spun by the gusty breezes and winds here, but that was easily solved by replacing the lightweight string with which it was originally equipped with about a dollar's worth of insulated 16-gauge multipurpose wire (I used Anchor Wire brand "Dand-O-Line" green). It took no more than 10 minutes start-to-finish-with-my-tools-put-away to fashion a wire hanger and replace the string with it.

Update 10/1/16: Still 5 stars! I had these baskets hanging up on a shaded porch all summer. They were realistic enough to fool visitors and hummingbirds. I did have to contend with birds nesting in them. One basket that housed two broods was pretty nasty--lots of bird poop. I figured even after hosing them down, I might have to throw that one away, but they cleaned up very well and I only lost a little of the fake green moss. Next year I'll try to dissuade birds from nesting in the baskets. Note: these are very lightweight and will swing a LOT on a windy day. Still a great purchase for indoors or a shaded outdoor area. I've never posted a review the same day an item was delivered ... until now. I've given up on trying to keep real hanging baskets alive, so yesterday I bought four of these baskets for our front porch. To my great surprise, they arrived today (a day early), and they are gorgeous! They're full, a great shape, and very realistic from a few feet away. I don't know how well they'd hold up in direct sunlight or rain; I hope not to find out, since our porch is pretty shaded. I looked at the beautiful wisteria baskets from another company, but they were more than double the cost. If you're looking for an affordable silk hanging basket, you can't go wrong with this one!

The good...is very good! These flowers are really beautiful, the leaves are perfect and it is luxuriant and full! Perfection! The bad...is terribly bad. These come in a pretty wicker basket, but with three prong rope knotted hangers. BEWARE if you have any wind at all. These twist and turn and the ropes end up sliding until the basket is almost upside down. I tried the suggestions made by another poster to remedy this, but nothing worked. I ended up buying planters that have metal hanger prongs with an S hook attached and transferred them. It was a pain to make the plants fit, I had to shave off 2 inches of the foam base. And of course the additional expense! But, they are working great! This is a HUGE FAIL! The in between is that I love these plants but would not recommend spending this kind of money with this company unless they resolve the hanger issues!

It is perfect spot for this nice looking Bougainville. This area has limited sunshine and it was difficult to reach to water a natural plant. This way I protect my baby grand piano. It looks beautiful and looks natural … Best choice in our living room.

When it arrives it is scrunched up so you need to work on it to get it to look like you want. The stems are easily bendable so you can change the length or shape. I also put a knot in the cord to shorten it and it looks great.
