Great dark sky light for my front yard
We have a model train display in our front yard and I wanted something that would aesthetically fit our yard. Also, I didn't want something to cookie cutter. This light is nice since it cast light mostly downward (dark sky friendly), can take a regular light bulb (you can choose a good LED bulb), and has a cool look (got compliments from the neighbor.). Also note, it looks fine (to me) to mount it on a black pole that you can grab from your favorite big box store if needed.

Excellent post light for those who want to protect the night sky
When the wife and I moved into the new-to-us home, we had a typical post lamp which lit up not only the ground, but most of the surrounding trees and sky. Since I am aware of light pollution issues, I decided to do my part in mitigating it and found this fixture. It was an easy swap with the old pole-top fixture, and is also very attractive as well. It lights up the surrounding area perfectly to a radius of around 30 feet at it's 6 foot height, but causes zero light spill up into the sky. Now if I could only get my neighbors to buy these....

Nice looking with design flaw
Nice stylish lights that I’d buy again. Quality is decent and they are well packed for shipping. Underside is white to cast light well. As others have noticed (and offered solutions for) the lip that runs around the shade and the bottom of the mounting flange holds water which is a design flaw. Over time the paint will deteriorate and the mild steel will rust. The suggestion to drill drain holes and repaint is fair, but a well designed light fixture would not need such end user effort. Overall not bad.

Very poor packaging for this lamp
Very poor packaging for this lamp. Box was crushed but the lamp seems ok. Do better !

Very nice light, and better light spread.
I've got 4 of these mounted on 10 foot posts and they cast beautiful gentle light across my yard. Each light is about 40 feet apart and these cast even light across the space without the glare from the bulb itself. It makes the light cast the focus instead of the light itself and helps keep the sky a little less dark. The only downside is installation. They mount easily, but I'd prefer screws to clamp instead of drilling through my posts. Trying to use them "self tapping" broke the screw.

Great fixture
Hides the bulb and gives beautiful light. I use it with a dusk to Dawn bulb. Keeps the sky dark and the ground bright. Very happy.

Great light, no glare when your out at a night. No wasted light, directed on the ground so no annoying light pollution. Doing my part to help protect our dark sky designation. Added feature in the rain.
