For the price this should have been machined from bar stock. This is a cheap casting. The is not Stainless Cable but fishing line. Spool seems to be off a cheap Zinger purchased from China for $1.00. Seems to work OK but not very smooth and no line stop. Oh well.

Nicely made little retractor, but unfortunately it does not hold the weight of my wood framed fish net. For light weight items only such as forceps, clippers, etc. Not built to hold anything significant, so not a must have piece of gear for the price.

I bought this for holding my jobs entry cards and badge. It is very sturdy as the plastics ones I was using would break every few months. My only complaint is that the space on the match to attach it to your belt ring on your paints is small and more difficult than it should be to take on and off.

I already had two of these and I needed one more. I connect pliers, clippers and hook remover to my fishing satchel. No more lost tools and perfect access to the tool you need to make your fishing experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this product!

This zinger is really high quality. I bought some more expensive nippers and didn't want to chance losing them. So I paid a little extra for the Fishpond and have been really happy with them.

Doesn't really give you much of an option to connect accessories to. A small key ring? Really? hemostats won't fit on that nor will many other accessories that you would use a retractor for. You'll have to buy an additional key ring or something to that effect to effectively use this. Not worth the 30 dollar price tag. Good quality though.

The arrow head is really nice zinger. I like it a lot. Has a nice long wire to pull out. You get what you pay for. Fishpond is a great company.

The carabiner style attachment is great for securely fixing arrowhead to bags, fishing vest etc. Perfect for ensuring you don’t drop expensive accessories like Abel/Simms nippers in the drink while wading. Not really suitable for heavier items such as pliers but they’re not designed for that. Overall very good, neat and effective retractor.
