This is a great little bollard.

Ideal for what I need it for reasonably priced

Bought these for an elderly neighbour. Feels sturdy enough for the price. The following is my take on this. No info on drill bit size. Tightening the nut was not easy, and it took lots of turns to secure. Trying to lock is difficult. As is when folding the post to the ground. You have to lift the post up little before it goes down. Drilled 4 small pilot holes. Was shocked to find that the position of the holes was not centred for fixing when folding the post forward/back and left/right. Had to drill 3 new holes to align them correctly. This should not be the case. The other two were easy to fix. I would recommend fixing them into the concrete, rather than bricks unless these are cemented to the ground.

Key operates lock but the lock does not engage the locking mechanism. I wasn’t expecting much from this post, it’s cheap, but I did expect it to not wobble and lean all over the place when up and funnily enough staying up would be preferred. If putting on a tarmac surface do not use these bolts, they are ok for concrete but not tarmac. Chinese rubbish once again seller never contacted me re this review so i believe they know its rubbish

The problem described in the headline was not the fault of the Bollard but the various slope of my Drive, upwards to the pavement then quickly downwards to the roadway, causing a 'highspot' which caught the cars underside. I strongly suspect all similar action Bollards would meet the same problem. The intended purpose was to prevent other vehicles using my driveway as a general 'turn around point' so to position the bollard where it wouldn't catch would defeat the objective.
