Josef Seibel Women's Fiona 04 Ballet Flats

I have size 9 (43) feet and have struggled for years to find shoes that fit well and are comfortable for long hours on my feet at work (NHS). These are bliss to wear. They are lovely, Light, soft, quality leather, that adjust to every movement, due to elasticated lace system. They may be expensive and may not last forever but are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are like slippers or “ bare foot” shoes. Worth every penny & don’t think I’ll be buying a different brand from now on!! Super fast delivery from Tauro too 😊. Will add another review if I have an update on durability or anything else.

The shoes are soft, supple and light. The toe is appropriately wide for comfort but the styling remains dainty. The leather lace keeps the shoe secure on my foot (orthotic insoles have raised my foot that bit higher than usual so they tend to slip out of slip on shoes, including standard ballerina styles), though these just fit over my high insteps. And I love the modern take on traditional ghillie styling. These are perfect for casual and formal occasions - I bought them to wear when conducting funeral services. But they also look great with summery frocks. Not cheap but a bargain for their comfort and quality. Couldn't be happier with these.

I have the ballet pumps in gree and what a fabulous pair of shoes they are. Comfortable from the first wear, they fit perfectly with no ‘breaking in’ period and go as well with a pair of skinny jeans as they do smart work trousers so a hit in the versatility department as well. They’re on the pricey side but have turned out to be a real investment piece

Josef Siebel is always great quality and wasn’t disappointed with these lovely leather ballet shoes. Due to problems with my feet and ankles cannot wear heels anymore and what do you wear with a dress in winter? These look really feminine and have elastic across the top instead of laces so brilliant when feet swell. Perfect! Really happy with the purchase.

These are lovely looking shoes and they are comfortable in some respects BUT the insoles move and also fall out each time you take the shoes off!The movement in the insoles made my feet sore.It is also annoying that they fall out when you take the shoes off.The leather is soft and they have great potential to be really good shoes but the insole situation really lets them down. I will likely take some appropriate glue to them and secure them but really for the price one should not have to do this.

I use Josef Seibel Fiona 04’s for Scottish Dancing. They have rubber soles which NEVER slip - Unlike traditional Ghillies which call for resin powder!Fiona 04’s Have rounded toes for maximum comfort - unlike traditional Ghillies which are pointed and SO painful to wear!Fiona 04’s come in loads of lovely colours Too.My only CONCERN is -It seems you can ONLY get them from Amazon !!! Looks like they are no longer for sale in shops!!! A travesty! 04’s should be available CONTINUALLY, FOREVER…I’ve got 2 pairs in black - they are always admired by other dancers, drooled over in fact and I will always promote them…I’m sure the same would be said of traditional Irish Dance shoes and even ballet shoes -They should always be actively promoted for dancers!Mary FelgateEssex

I have really difficult feet, so I'm always looking for shoes that will be comfortable for long days as a tour guide ... which involves a lot of walking and standing.These sounded ideal, although I blanched at bit at the price ... but I sent for them anyway and I've been trying them out - on and off - for a few months now.Initially, I was disappointed to find out that they weren't immediately comfortable, but I've been persevering with them for a few hours at a time, for longer periods, and they are now becoming comfortable. There's lots of toe room, which is great, and the elastic fastening means that the width is very forgiving too.The problem area was - and to a certain extent still is - across my big toe joint. Like many people I have incipient (but non-painful) bunions and at that point in the shoes, there isn't too much 'give'. However, because they are soft leather, and well made, they are wearing in well.I have size 8, fairly broad, feet and ordered a UK 8 (EU 42) and they fit me as expected.With the above reservation about the fit across the big toe joint ... recommended.
