Although I didn't buy these for adjusting hemlines, they are as useful to me as I had hoped. These clips are about 4 inches long and made of quality steel. I'm assuming they won't rust, as I don't recall the description. I've had them for several months, waiting to finish other projects before I got to the one in which I planned these clips to be utilized. I had purchased 90 Grade Cheesecloth as well as multi-purpose fabric paint. I needed these clips to hold the delicate cheesecloth in place so that I could paint it on a covered wooden board. These clips were absolutely perfect in strength and size to enable me to do my painting without the fabric being pulled or stretch, or even dinged up by the clips. I was able to adjust the position of the clips as well and as needed. These were a great find. I am so happy they showed up among the suggested items in the Art, Crafts, and Sewing Category. They help with flimsy stretchy fabric placement and easier to use the pins at times. Love the measurement on the side. Easy to read and utilize when need a measurement quickly.

Ideal for hemming.

I wanted to "tack" the bottom hem of a pair of shorts that have that intentional frayed edge. I'm useless with making things even. It would be better if the numbers/marks were darker and clearer. They went on fine (onto the fabric, that is), but they would slip around on the fabric and the hem came out ok but not perfect. So...meh. Not gonna lie...could be user error. I am a pretty bad seamstress, so it could be more me than the product, but when it comes to the slipping and the "too light" markings, it's definitely not me.

I love these clips. They help to secure fabric precisely in place. I like the regular clips but I don't think they keep the fabric 100% in place when you are sewing. The best part of these clips is that they measure the folded part for you. It is so easy to use and extremely helpful. I bought 1 box to try it out and after they arrived I ordered 2 more boxes. I don't sew very often and I don't need many. Definitely a great product and super helpful. It made my sewing experiences much easier and faster.
