Such a great coffee table book if nothing else, but the book itself has some phenomenal photos from all over the world. I grab it often and flip through it. Highly recommend.

Not only is there a terrific selection, but the clarity is really great. Many of the photos are in color, and some of the black-and-white photos are in sepia. It's a real pleasure looking at every page.

I bought it for my parents as a gift, but my kids were looking through it and asked if we could have one for our house as well. It is a beautiful coffee table book and makes a great gift.

This book changes how I see the past now. This book brings history TO. LIFE. I absolutely love this book. The picture that utterly sold me on the excellence of this book is a photo of white bearded Confederate and Union Soldiers playing cards together at a Civil War "reunion." These guys look like friends who are reenactment hobbyists just playing around with costumes. No, this is a real photo. These are real Civil War Soldiers. Those are real people just like you and me. Just, Wow.

This is a really cool coffee table book to have lying around. Some of the photos show you major moments in time, others are more minor but still great since they've been beautifully colorized. The only thing that could be improved is, I do think there could be more photos included.

This is a terrific value for what lies within this book. Everything from the page quality, the binding, content, photography, etc is absolute perfection! Beautiful enough for a coffee table book, while content is deep & intriguing. 5-STAR all the way!
