Not what I expected. A fairly decent description of the varied climates of the region, this book does offer some info on which plants will do well where.

Perfect for my garden in Spain but also for a garden in the UK that you don't want to spend time watering.

having retired in the middle east I now have time to concentrate on a garden. Book contains excellent information on types of soil and appropriate plants for the area. Only point for me as a very novice gardener would be to have more photos of plants with their common/Latin names. Many plant souqs have no idea of plant names so to show and know by sight is a must.
