How to Achieve Glowing Health and Vitality: The Wisdom of Yogananda, Volume 6

I am delighted that Crystal Clarity continues to publish books on Yogananda's teachings long after He left this world. I never get tired of Yogananda, never feel like I've read and understood it all. His work always feels fresh, insightful and relevant. And, He gave us so much! Not to overwhelm us, but to give a wide variety from which everyone can feel, "I may not be able to do everything, or even a large percentage of these teachings, but I can always do something." Even to adopt a few of the master's health suggestions into everyday life can greatly improve well being. This book will keep its readers busy for a while trying out lots of simple, and some more involved suggestions for good health and vitality.

One must remember the knowledge gained from modern medicine is haphazard and certainly not holistic in its approach. And if one investigates further they will find that it is teeming with the corrupt motives of pharmaceutical giants and therefore should be deemed virtually unreliable. If one is not acquainted with the author, then one should make a priority to read "the autobiography of a yogi." Long story short, the information on general well being and specific physical, dietary and meditative practices found in the book is an expression of pure and absolute knowledge, In other words, it is how "nature" wanted us to live. If one faithfully practices these principles they can enjoy a life of unbounded health all the way until death and greatly reduce their rate of decay (aging).

What i can i say, master speaks to the heart in all his books, all he really cared about was reuniting east and west and the world to wake them up to show them their divinity and their unity…In this book he shows how will is energy. will controls more then we ever imagined once practising the technique's, something so simple but yet profound.He also teaches controlling the life FORCE that surrounds your body and enters through the medulla oblongata and to recharge your cells with the Living force. Master Yoga-nanda is no doubt where George Lucas got the character Yoda from. master teaches how to control the force and to use it to heal and create a fruitful life.

At 82 with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), I found Paramhansa Yogananda's instructions for healing invaluable. As I visualized lifting increasingly heavy weights while tensing my arm muscles appropriately, I was able to perform all of the exercises without cramping.After 20 minutes of exercise, I ate breakfast without spilling a morsel. and gave thanks!

Its a "safe" book on the subject, entertaining, but not a thorough as Yogananda's commentaris and advise on the subject are. I expected more "punch", more nuggests.

Paramhansa Yogananda's interpretation of thousands of year old yogic exercises that he refers to as yogoda exercises. They use the principle of "inner concentration" which gives them multiple advantages over western style exercises and in 10 minutes a day can give total development of body,mind and soul even extended into later years.

I enjoy the book and this classic Yogananda writing however I dislike the new "cloud reader" from Kindle. You must have web access to read your purchased books which leaves no access in planesNNN

This book is for referring again and again. Such an useful book with so much information. What he advised so many years ago, research is saying true to them now.
