I could not get it to work (with an older TV and DirecTV hookup). I opened a case with Weemote and have heard absolutely nothing on this in at least a month. We recently moved my dad into a Memory Care Unit. In the new place, he has a new Sanyo TV with Charter Cable. I was also unable to get this to work there. I finally gave up and bought a Flipper Remote, where I actually did get a response when I opened a case and that one works great. The Weemote idea is great, but with no support and limited codes that work, it was a complete failure for me. Easy to set up. Big easy buttons my 3 and 5 year olds both understand. Big problem is that the IR signal transmitter is so weak/bad that the remote needs to be very precisely aimed in order to work. The kids usually need to get up and hold it right in front of the cable box. The effect of this defect is that the kids don't want to use it. She is my only child out of 3 that has her own TV) she kept messing with the buttons in front of the tv to change the volume or turn it on or off & hit the wrong button & mess something up & I saw this & thought it could work... Let's see if it does!!! Well we haven't had any problems with her hitting the wrong buttons anymore since I taught her what buttons on the new kid remote to hit. She can press play for her DVD, stop it & pause her DVD... It works great & I'm so glad i bought this!!
