I cannot believe how wonderful this tape is. I taped up a sign on an outside brick wall. It has been rained on so many times and also has been frozen and it's still holding strong! I've used it on 2 metal cabinet doors that refuse to stay closed. The tape holds, pulls up easily to open the cabinets and sticks right back when I close them. They must have been opened 100 times and the tape is still working as if it were the first time. I have used it to tape up boxes, then realized that I left something out of the cardboard box. The tape pulled up easily with only about a 1 inch by 1/4 inch piece of paper pulling up from the box. The tape then resealed the box perfectly. When I went to put the box back in storage, it slipped in my hands and I was holding it upside down with the tape on the bottom. It was about 50 lbs and I thought sure that the tape would fail and everything would spill. It did not. The tape held fast. It has worked great around my windows to help keep out the cold. You know how sometimes you get tape crooked and when you pull it up to straighten it, the tape twists and sticks to itself? This has not happened at all with the GafferPower Gaffer tape. I also had a plastic bag in the freezer that tore. I used the Gaffer tape. About a month later, I removed it from the freezer and pulled it off of the plastic bag without a problem. I stuck it on the side of the fridge until I could throw it away. I forgot about it and 3 days later I noticed it on the fridge. I assumed it would fall right off having been in the freezer for a month. It did not. It was stuck well to the fridge and there was no residue left on my fridge when I removed it!!!!! How I wish I had known about this tape sooner. The clear package tape and the Duct tape are going in the back of the drawer only to be used in emergencies. Can't wait to try some of the other colors! It also does NOT hurt that this is made in the U.S.A. and is affordable!!!! I wish Amazon would sell more made in the USA products.

This gaffer tape is hundreds of times better than duct tape! The color selection is wonderful and it sticks very well. There is no residue when removing it and I especially loved how I can easily tear it into extra small strips. I've torn it into as small as 1/4 inch (crosswise on the tape). It is an invention as slick as white bread! I absolutely love it.

VERY good tape. I have tried many cheaper brands and it is "cheaper" tape. This brand has sticking power without leaving residue and works very well for stage use. I keep coming back to get more. Love it!

The best tape is gaffer tape. I carry it when I travel. It can hang things (there are never enough hooks), tape curtains closed, cover all the horrid little blinky lights on chargers and sockets and TVs in rooms at night, repair little rips and loose luggage handles, tape down cords, backup first aid, and many other uses, all while being easy to tear, easy to remove, without leaving residue or ruining paint (you should test carefully, but it's often flawless), even when there's some moisture involved. Rips easily, sticks on everything, holds well, then comes off easy and clean. It's just great. Oh, it's also used on film sets and for other electrical purposes and works well there too. Only docked a star because it's pricey.

More expensive to purchase, but am happy I did. Great product.

This is the best gaffers tape I have tried. Sticks very well, easy to handle, and leaves no residue when removed (aside from some tape I had in a high traffic area for over 2 years (yes, it's that reliable). I was very disappointed when the white one in particular went out of stock. I tried others and all of the ones that claimed to be white were more of a cream color (an issue when you're trying to mask things in a white environment). I also use the black variety of this tape, and it is just as reliable as this one. I will keep an extra white on hand going forward in case they run out of stock again.

I've used a lot of gaffers tape for taping down wires in convention centres, and I grabbed this roll for use around the home. There's not much to say, it's just good quality gaffers tape that does what you expect gaffers tape to do. Sticks well, and can be used on a permanent basis on smooth surfaces. Like most gaffer tapes, it will leave dramatically less residue than duct tape, none for temporary use, and only a very slight residue if you leave it installed for months or years (most likely at the edges). However, it's very important that you know what you're buying: this is gaffers tape, not duct tape. It's not intended for the same purpose, and it doesn't have nearly as much adhesion. It's not supposed to! It's supposed to have a matte finish (no reflections from lights), tear very straight in either direction (no need for scissors), and leave little to no residue. It's primarily for temporary use, though as I said earlier, it can be used permanently in some scenarios.
