GREAT
This 6 ft Heat Tape for Water Pipes is a simple, effective solution to keep your pipes from freezing in cold weather. It wraps easily around exposed plumbing and warms up quickly to maintain temperature, helping prevent costly burst pipes and winter damage. The tape is flexible and easy to install — just wrap it along the pipe, secure with clips or tape, and plug it in. Once powered, it distributes heat evenly and stays in place without slipping. It’s especially handy for outdoor faucets, garage pipes, crawlspaces, and basements where freezing is a concern. Pros: • Easy to install • Helps prevent frozen pipes • Even heat distribution Cons: • Requires a nearby power source • Best for preventing freeze — not as a long‑term insulation substitute Bottom Line: A practical, affordable way to add freeze protection to vulnerable pipes — perfect for winter preparedness in cold climates.

Does What It's Supposed To Do
Used to the pipes on our external tankless heater though the last winter blast / ice storm. Tested in a bowl of ice, worked great. Easy to install, I appreciated it came with the proper tape. Pipes have frozen in the past but didn't this time. Might update my review later depending on how long the product lasts since it's only been on for a couple of months, but no complaints right now.

Works as described buy follow the directions
This is the second time I have purchased this product. I forgot that it is best to measure where you want to use the product as having too much left over or changing the way that it is installed to make it work. It is a stiff cord so need to know that when having easy access to wrap its easy to install, if in a difficult location such as working under a craw space it can be difficult to work with.

Water running within 10 minutes
I am so impressed with this heat trace. My pipes froze from snowpocalypse 2026, so I bought this praying it would work. Within 10 minutes of installation my water was running again. We had no water for 3 days so this was a total life saver. Great value for the price. We wrapped insulation around the heat trace so it would hold the heat in, which has worked very well. I didn't even know this existed until I started researching how to keep my pipes from freezing. Amazing !!

Works well, follow instructions
Used on exposed washer pipes in shed. Kept pipes from freezing during last cold snap. I used to have to go to shed and run washer every two hours to keep water flowing

Perfect fix!
Needed something like this to keep a furnace condensate drain line from freezing. The drain is a clear flexible plastic tubing and I was worried about too much heat and damage, but this is the perfect fix. It keeps the line at a nice temperature and with a small amount of wattage used and is warm to the touch. Not excessive . I enclosed the drain line and the heater line in a foam type insulation and it works well. The automatic thermostat has worked perfectly so far. Nice to have peace of mind knowing the line won’t freeze up anymore. This unit looks and feels well made for the price.

Good quality and good price, very easy to install
I decided to get a cable heater as temp had been less than 20 degrees lately and I have a out door water pipe(3/4)/faucet that is insulated but I am afraid it will pop eventurally as temp will drop even more which is rare where I live. it is definitely frozen solid now and after installing this heater, I tried to open the faucet next day and water begains to flow, I have peace of mind knowing this pipe/faucet will be safe from bursting now.
