Cute! Much bigger than expected. Fun for children to catch inspects & watch them in their habitat. Not sure the bugs would give a 5 star review but that’s down to the hotel manager ;) overpriced but I still ought it for the novelty factor as a gift

My kids love making homes for bugs in the summer to watch them whilst playing in the garden, these just add to the fun. The actual globe bit on this model seems a little less sturdy than the underwater themed one we have but will do the job just the same.

Great fun and hard wearing

Love this quirky way to catch bugs. Mine have always loved it but I ran out of new ideas as we have had all the usual kits before. The kids think they are great.

This really did look impressive! The little boy it's for will be out in the garden collecting.....

I have mixed emotions about this ‘toy’. At first I thought what a cute idea, imagine a ladybird sitting on the deck chair, how funny would that be. Then you realise that most kids would get bored and just leave the poor insect in there. This definitely needs adult supervision, from catching the bug ( tweezers supplied are unsuitable and too chunky) to ensuring it’s treated with care. The lid has ventilation holes and a small handle for carrying the dome around. It’s a novel idea and a young child will enjoy being able to study insect close up and they can take fun pictures to share with the family, of their bug friend on holiday at the beach. The plastic on the dome is quite hard so wouldn’t stand up to too much knocking around before cracking. I think the price could be cheaper as I don’t think it will interest the kids for very long and it’s quite basic. Hope you found my review helpful

うちの大人たちは虫が嫌いですが、子供は恐怖心がなく特に蝶が大好きです。 早速公園で蝶を捕まえてきて中に入れていました。 椰子の木やベッドなど面白いものが置かれているので、虫嫌いな大人でも楽しくてつい見てしまいます。 壁の部分が透明になっていることによって観察をしやすいと言う利点があり、また中の様々なものに止まることで、何かを掴んだり止まったりしたときの脚の動きなどを見ることができ、研究や学習の視点からも非常によくできたものだと思います。

Jag gav bort den till en 4-åring och hade redan förberett med lite insekter för att väcka nyfikenhet. Det blev mer intressant än alla andra leksaker han fick. Jag tror det är ett bra sätt att väcka nyfikenhet för naturen och en bra kontrast till alla leksaker som barn snabbt tröttnar på.

This has been my daughters bug house for roly polys, praying mantis, butterflies, moths, caterpillars, worms, ladybugs and milk bugs. Overall it has held up to a lot of wear and tear and despite being dropped multiple times it has not cracked. It has adequate air vents in the top, but the holes aren’t too large to let small bugs escape. The lid also screws off for easy cleaning. The furniture inside is attached and super cute as the bugs can lounge on it. The clear plastic that surrounds it is not as thick as I’d like as it does dent if pushed on too hard. It can be popped back into place though. I would definitely recommend this for kids who love to catch and care for bugs of their own.
