My laptop is about 5lbs and it holds it perfectly fine. No play or no flex with the laptop on it-honeycomb holes for laptop to breathe. I’ve noticed cooler temps with this stand. Not a huge improvement but a few degrees. I use to be around 80-85 under heavy loads. I hover around 77-80 with the stand performing the same tasks.-it’s lifted so I can store my Intous tablet under it when I’m not using it. I stores my work laptop under there a few times too but picked up another stand for my monitor to store my work laptop.-build quality is amazing and I would pick up another one if I needed another one.
