Men Chronograph Eco-Drive Watch Promaster Sky, Silver, AT8020-54L

Having collected watches for decades including numerous Citizens I was aware of this model but always gave it a pass due to its perception as a mall watch. Citizen have been releasing some great new watches in the last few years and I looked into their chronographs before settling on the new 40mm Navihawk. That's a great looking watch but for a chrono with a slide rule bezel it wears too small and is hard to read in all but the brightest conditions. With thoughts on returning it I had a look at the larger watches which led me to this Blue Angels. The specs for the watch are excellent with sapphire, milled clasp, 200mt wr and atomic time etc. On arrival it looked quite a bit bigger than I expected but I like larger watches and have a wrist size to pull them off. I pushed in the crown and the watch proceeded to set itself as it had obviously been syncing with the radio signal in Cumbria. The case is well finished with a deep blue ion plated bezel with yellow accent. Bracelet is really nicely done with polished accents and inlaid centre links giving it a dressy feel. No half links and 2 micro adjust holes means it's tricky to get a good fit but its fine on me and very comfortable. The dial is busy but not overly so and is flawless in execution with a smooth action to the internal slide rule. Everything lined up perfectly without me having to make any adjustments at all. The atomic sync is very good and seems to respond better than Casios multiband 6 system. Some say this model is too complicated but it really isn't, it's basically just a chrono with a few fancy features bolted on. Minor niggles are the pressed on caseback, no signed crown and the lack of clarity over this watches promaster designation. Some say it is a promaster and others say no and it doesn't have the logo anywhere. Also, mine came in a standard citizen box and not the Blue Angels packaging. Either way it's a great looking watch which I will hopefully gell with over the next few days. Be aware, this model is now discontinued so will become increasingly difficult to obtain brand new and will probably come in the non blue angels box. I would also advise getting the bracelet version as you can always get aftermarket straps cheaply. Update, Jan 26. This watch has surprised me with it's quality, functionality and comfort. The 40mm Navihawk has been returned and this is definitely a keeper.

Bought this as a Christmas prezzi and its been very well received, I was worried about quality when ordering online, but the recipient is very happy with the quality and weight of the watch.

Fantastic watch from Citizen. Been after this watch for a while and now finally have it. Great watch with plenty of features to boot. It is a great watch to look at. For those new to Eco-drive, the watch had to be put under sunlight or string LED light to charge it and make it work.

Livrée dans une jolie boîte, cette montre est magnifique, je suis fidèle à Citizen, c'est ma troisième montre, la première doit avoir 15 ans, je l'ai donné à mon beau fils et elle fonctionne toujours, la 2 ème qui est à côté de ma nouvelle doit avoir 8 ans, aucun problème, toujours à l'heure,il suffit de la régler sur l'émetteur du pays, avec le calendrier perpétuel et l'heure,été/hiver qui change automatiquement, c'est super. Pour ce qui est du bouton à gauche, c'est pour tourner la règle de calcul ( c'est un gadget) seul bémol, avant,il y avait le mode d'emploi avec la montre, maintenant, il faut le télécharger sur le net. Toujours est il, je recommande la marque Citizen.

magnifico orologio , vale il prezzo pagato, quando il segnale radio è disponibile si sincronizza senza problemi,mi ha soddisfatto in tutte le caratteristiche e non sono uno che si accontenta facilmente.

Es un reloj precioso, de buen tamaño (43 mm) y tecnológico. Me encanta. La única pega que le pongo es que no tiene sistema de alarma. Es raro, me extrañó.
