Hollywood Legends Collection - Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady in Pink Organza Gown

I've seen quite a handful of Barbies. Pretty much all the same. All clones. Blonde hair. Painted-on eyelashes. Same grin with the white teeth exposed. But not Midge! She just looks so different from your normal Barbie. She's got freckles. She's got gorgeous blue eyes that have lovely eyelashes that make her look so much more genuine and unique. And her mouth, she has this cute expression with her lips that is just her own thing. Not a fan of her attire though. The purse is nice, but I was hoping for more of a modern retro flashback re-inventive type look. Like maybe some vintage denim or some high-rise bottoms. I get what they were trying to do though with the polka dot print. Polka dot is very retro. Makes things POP! Shoes are very ugly, I would not put anything black on a Midge doll, black is too edgy and sharp for this girl, she's more old school and warm. She should have had on pointed-toe heels, maybe with bows on the toes. If not pointed-toe, maybe peep-toe. Something like what Katy Perry's style used to be like back during her One of the Boys phase. Also, tell me I'm not the only one who thinks long hair doesn't suit Midge. I know Barbie reinvented her, if you've watched the webisode where she was warped into 2013 Malibu. But I really thought short hair suited her, it was cute and separated her from Barbie. They didn't have to keep it styled the same, just retain the length. Apparently flashforwarding means letting your hair grow down to your lower back.

This doll is the first Midge doll in 10 years, so when I saw her I knew I had to get her. This seemed like a blessing however it is more of a curse. I am the type of person that sees something they want has to buy it. I saw her for 28.99 and brought her immediately not knowing retail price was actually 15.99. The doll's price is going really high since she is the first Midge doll in years and because they actual dolls are suppposed to go out Monday, June 24th. Now let's get to the doll! The doll is great quality. Her clothes are hemmed and vintage cute, however I wish the shirt and skirt were separate, but oh well everyone knows Mattel. She has the fashionistas body however it has an improved one since her points of articulation are much sturdier, and chest articulation is back, for the first time since Fashionistas Clutch Wave 1. Her hair is great quality however her bangs are divided in two because of the part line which makes them awkward looking. She has Steffie headmold and rooted eyelashes which are two great bonus points. Overall great doll.

The doll itself is BEAUTIFUL !!! She is perfect for what she was purchased for which is to display.

Personally, I was very excited when I first saw that Midge was available...how many of us remember Barbie's very first friend and have missed her presence? I was ticked to be able to give Midge to my daughter as a gift; she's a wonderful addition to the Barbie collection. She is very well articulated, right down to her wrists. Also..."real' eyelashes! Yup, not the painted on kind! I mean, wow, when's the last time you saw that on a Barbie?! Love the red hair because it makes her stand out & helps remind girls that we're not all blonde. The outfits she comes with are also a bit more conservative than many of the outfits available for Barbie nowadays, and that was a very nice change of pace. Of course, her body is still made with the Barbie mold, so it's unrealistic, but I can't help but love her...and I'm very happy to say that my daughter does as well.

Midge was the most beautiful doll I've ever had. She was more beautiful in real life, and after you fluff the hair and tease her clothes. The only downer to her, is that the second dress was ugly. I mean, it looks nice there, but it was just straight up, ugly. It looks like a farmers dress, which was completely irrelevant to Midge in general. Second downer? Maybe her bangs. I'm never a fan of bangs or Barbies or dolls, just because of the length. The doll is smaller than a human, so obviously, as long hair can't go with it. I'm always afraid to purchase dolls with bangs, because I don't want it being stiff or randomly there. Though, I will admit, the doll's hair was fierce and it was softer than expected. It almost felt like human hair. The fiber used was perfect and I really appreciated that. The bangs weren't stiff at all. Okay, maybe a little; but only because of the length. Remember, hair needs length to flow and flaunt, and this was such a short length, I'm impressed. Midge has movable ribs as well. Right under her boobs, there's a joint so she can move there as well. One other thing that should have been fixed, was the straight eyelashes, Her eyelashes aren't curled, but anyone can curl them at home. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this doll and the look and everything. The shipping was quick and reliable and I recommend this to ANY boy or girl or inbetween as a perfect gift or just-because-I-love-you present. Props to Mattel.

I chose the Midge doll for my grandkids because they all have red hair just like hers. I like the fact she is articulated and just a pretty doll. I wish the clothes had a little more pizzazz, but at least she came with two outfits. Her hair is very nice and the girls delight in brushing and playing with it. Nice doll with a nice expression on her face. She was well priced and I recommend her.

I recently purchased this Midge doll, and she's so cute in person! It is so great to see Midge come back since, like, 2003 or so. This Midge doll has rooted eyelashes, comes with another adorable outfit (full prints!), and is fully articulated. I honestly think this is the best Barbie line in a LONG time. Hopefully we will see a lot more Midge in the future! Highly recommend this doll.

Cette poupée est ab-so-lu-ment charmante...Les petites taches de roussseur...la petite bouche rose avec cette moue délicieuse...les vrais cils...et une jolie chevelure roux clair. De plus, elle bénéficie d'une articulation supplémentaire au niveau du torse ! J'aime beaucoup le petit côté rétro de sa tenue rouge, même si je la préfère avec la robe bleue. Les collectionneurs vont l'adorer...

I love my Midge. Her face is gorgeous! I love her deep rooted lashes. Her outfit is super cute. She took a while to arrive which I would have preferred her to arrive quicker but when she did come it was worth the wait. She's far too beautiful. Much nicer than in the photo. She's divine! Very happy.

HERMOSA! Tiene pestañas de material, no pintadas solamente. Vestido y zapatillas hermosas, cómo las de la actriz. Extremidades inferiores flexibles. No la saqué por completo de su caja, pero si se puede quitar el vestido. Todo vez hagan falta broches, pero de soluciona sólo con cinta de tela. Me encantó! Se vé que está guardada desde 1995. Las cintas ( Scotch)están amarillas y con poco pegamento ya. Si que se ve antigua. Bonita caja para exhibición.

Midge ispirata alla serie Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse. E' identica a quella della serie e il viso ha un'espressione divesa e particolare rispetto a quello delle altre Barbie. Ha anche delle vere ciglia finte. I vestiti sono davvero molto belli. Prodotto consigliatissimo sia per collezionisti che per i bambini che seguono questa serie.
