I was skeptical but it works really well! I have tile floors throughout my condo and cleaning the tile and grout is an unpleasant chore. I usually scrub by hand with a long handled grout groove brush and it hurts my back. So i took a chance and ordered the grout groovy, assembled it and tried it out. It is 100% better, faster and more effective than I can do by hand scrubbing! Also, no back pain! It is still a lot of work and you need a really good soap/cleaner and let it sit to loosen the dirt. Then scrub and the grout comes out very clean. Additional tip, and I believe this is the key is after trying many cleaners, homemade and what is available from the store and finally found that a commercial floor soap used by professionals works the best.

This is the best machine for cleaning grout!! I love it! Especially if you are older with a lot of aches and pains! It was so easy to clean the grout lines compared to scrubbing it on hands and knees with a toothbrush! I would recommend this product to everyone! Now the cleaning chemical for the grout, not so much, it seemed really abrasive, had a potent odor, and did not do much. Best grout cleaning agent is a mixture of baking soda, peroxide, and a little Dawn. Let it sit for 15 mins and use your machine to scrub the grout lines. It came super clean!! Don't even question if this machine works, just buy it! So worth it!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Manual scrubbing grout is time consuming and tough on my hand. This grout cleaner works. If the directions available on the internet are followed, Works well: Mix 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon Dawn dish soap and apply to grout with toothbrush. Leave for 10 minutes. Scrub grout. With Grout Groovy, the scrubbing process is easy. Using gentle downward pressure, pull the machine slowly, with the grout wheel centered over the grout. Occasionally this needs to be repeated. Clean up with wet mop. Work in small area sections. My kitchen gout, which had not been cleaned with a manual brush in 5 years went from dirty to new -appearing with one treatment.

Have to give mixed review. When the brush is new this thing works great. But in use the brush bristles quickly take a permanent sideways set splayed out to the side and it no longer cleans the grout line. You can easily go thru half a dozen of the brushes to clean a floor of any size. At the price of brushes it gets expensive. They need to make the brushes out of something that will not deform and take a set.

Absolutely horrible device. The brush wheel wore down to the hub in 15 minutes(USELESS) the speed and power were awful for plug unit, the rpm’s and power should be way better. Great idea, poorly executed. My cordless hand drill worked way better just sucks your back will hurting for few days.

This is a great grout cleaner for those who don't wish to be on their hands and knees with a scrub brush!! I would not say that it is a time saver, the same amount of effort and time is required to get the grout clean, BUT for those of us who have determined that the floor is not our friend, this works well! It was simple to assemble and is both effective and economical.

I have 2 floors of slate. I'll never ever build a house like that again! :-) I was an early adopter of Grout Gator, and did their website. Loved it! They are no longer actively marketing but still have product refills etc. When I found this product, I was intrigued. Purchased it and tried it out today. Comparison to Grout Gator was in my mind as I used it. While Grout Gator can adjust for any size tile to do both sides at the same time, Grout Groovy only does one side at a time. A wish list for them to expand to a two-sided version in popular tile sizes. So I noted how long it took me with Grout Groovy vs Grout Gator to do my kitchen slate floor and it was a tie. While Grout Gator can do more sides, and Grout Groovy is limited to only one site, the electric option on Grout Groovy made the work faster. But here's the final upside: it was easier with the electric. Less muscle needed from this senior citizen. The downside is the same as Grout Gator: The nylon bristles will need to be replaced depending on how often used. Another caveat, I have a manual single brush wire unit and needed it for hard to reach spots, like next to refrigerator that butts up to the cabinet. Overall, highly recommended. I am pleased with it. I own nearly all cleaning gadgets including the wonderful iRobot wash and vac. All devices are good for specific jobs. I give this one a 99% pleased.

I thought for sure this would be a slam dunk product, but that was just wishful thinking. First the good news: yes, the spinning brush helps to clean the grout in between floor tiles and paired with a good grout cleaning liquid, does a decent job. But the thing is heavier than a grout brush with a handle and even with the guide wheel to help you scrub back and forth, keeping it in a straight line took some effort and the amount of labor was not much less, if at all, than running a grout brush with a long handle back and forth. Also, it has to be plugged in, meaning you have to deal with a cord while working. Finally, storing it is a pain that you won't usually encounter with a brush. As I said, it's heavier than a simple long handled brush and leaning it against the wall isn't necessarily the best way to keep it out of the way as it can get knocked over or fall. I tossed it into a closet where it get s in teh way of other things that I sometimes need to take out.
