Blue Buffalo Family Favorites Natural Adult Wet Dog Food, Mom's Chicken Pie 12.5-oz can (Pack of 12)

This review is actually for the entire Blur 'family favorite recipe' line - which is helping my Irish Wolfhound recover from the emotional trauma of losing her companion. She virtually stopped eating when my other IW died on New Year's Eve. She lost 8 pounds right away and was on a downward course. We had here checked/tested by my vet to make sure that there was nothing physical wrong - and her tests were perfect. She only drank some water and rarely nibbled at some of her old canned foods. We started asking people/vets what was the one food that was so tasty (and nutritious) that no dog could resist. We had a multitude of suggestions and we tried many,many brands. We finally got to testing her with BLUE foods but had no success with several of the BLUE varieties. In desperation by then we were just trying more and more types of canned food in almost random fashion. On impulse, we bought 6 cans of the 'family favorites' varieties. She first smelled her bowl as always, but instead of walking away and resuming her hunger strike, she tried a few more bites. Then some more, and in a few minutes the entire can had disappeared. We starting testing all the flavors of this line over the next few days and had the same result. We went back to the store and bought another week's supply - and the pattern continued. Grendel - my IW - was licking the bowl clean. By then we were willing to order 5 cases from Amazon and they were delivered via PRIME. My dog is still eating and has gained her weight back. Many people find it unbelievable that giant dogs can be so hard to feed; but IW are often picky eaters in the best of circumstances. Emotional setbacks can complicate this issue further. We were very fearful for our dog's future until Blue family favorites provided a solution. So, if you too have a dog that won't eat, or just want to give your dog what is apparently an extremely tasty meal, we strongly recommend that you give Blue a try. If our IW eats it, it is hard to imagine a dog that won't.

My little lady loves this food and it is only 1 of two brands I use - my dog has petit mal seizures and has had them for many years - Had lots of them at first, wen ton medication which helped a bit but once I put her on food without chemical fillers and such she got much better - now only has them on rare occasions Can't prove a direct effect from the food but it sure seems to be a contributing factor to her having very few bouts. Besides she loves the product.

My dog loves this food. Before buying this he was constantly biting on his paws and back. This has all nearly stopped.

Our 10-month old mixed terrier loves the food. The reason I gave a 4-star rating is because 7 out of 12 cans had different levels of dents to the can. My expectation from the Blue Family product quality/packaging control was higher than from what we have received.

Our dogs love Blue Buffalo! We use it as a topper on the dogs dry food, it will win over picky eatters for sure!

I have small dogs. The recommended protein % for their food (and all small dogs) is 25% or more. While my dogs liked this food and the ingredients check out, the protein % is low. Bad on me for not checking. Will not reorder but only for that reason
