365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Hemp Protein Powder Unflavored, 16 oz

I was having difficulties meeting my daily protein requirement while staying under my calorie limit. I was making my own protein mix by grinding up various seeds and nuts but went looking for something with lower fat and calorie content. I found hemp powder, and since I was already using hemp hearts in my mixture, I thought I'd try swapping those out for this product because it does have fewer fat grams. Eventually, I switched to just using the hemp powder in my shakes. The texter is gritty and the flavor is overpowering initially (especially if using the full amount), but it helps me meet my protein needs while staying under my calorie limit, as I'd hoped. I highly recommend starting with a small amount (maybe a tablespoon) and slowly working up to the 1/4 cup serving. I have about three of 1/4c servings a day and have had no negative side effects (so far). I also like that it's much cheaper than many other protein powders and completely unsweetened. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

I love the idea of hemp protein. The numbers are excellent. Unfortunately, the smell is rough. Not gag-inducing, but not at all enjoyable. This is a fine product, but I would probably recommend some other flavored variety. This is not a tasty treat, but it is what it purports to be.

Really like this stuff but it definitely has more of a taste than I was expecting. I can’t put in a full serving into almost anything without really tasting it. I like it in a smoothie but I still can’t put a full serving in. That being said I’m SO glad to have something so natural and effective to use. I just wish it had a little less taste! I feel really full after using it and as I’ve been having some eating problems it’s been a huge relief.

Great taste (for me) earthy and not too strong, and not sweet exactly what I wanted for smoothies, good ingredients and protein, mixes best in a blender - I make sure to add it somewhere in the middle of all of the ingredients I want to add to ensure it mixes properly - I use this to make Juice spot’s wunderjowzen smoothie equivalent

I’m sure the product is an excellent source of protein, but I couldn’t get past the overwhelming grassy taste.

The quality of this product matches some mainstream brands I have tried. It provides essential amino acids and other proteins. The powder is a consistent "easy to scoop" quality and mixes well with other powders, milk, juice and/or water. The flavor is pretty much what you'd expect from a hemp powder. Of the three hemp powder brands I have tried, this is my favorite. High quality at a fair price.

Taste is a little earthy but I like it. It isn't too thick, so it mixes pretty well into water or other juices. Has a small effect on the texture of the drink. Overall I think the health benefits are there

Recently went mostly plant-based so was looking for more protein options (besides rice, pea or soy). This is excellent! First of all I didn't even realize how many nutrients are in here (including omega-3's). I wanted a natural flavor (no sweetener or artificial sweetener) and this is perfect. The hemp itself it lightly sweet and earthy tasting, but I think it tastes really good!! I mix it with some unsweetened almond milk and voila! I also feel a little bit of energy each time I drink this.
