Such a handy device! We had been using two magnets to indicate clean or dirty dishes, but this is so much better! Often, my son or husband would forget to switch out the magnets so if the dishwasher had been opened and the "clean" light wasn't showing, I was left trying to determine if the dishes had been washed or not. Since this magnet stays on the dishwasher and you just have to slide to indicate clean or dirty, the guys have been much better at remembering to "mark" the load. In addition, to being more convenient, it is very well made and attractive. It's just the right size - big enough to see, but not so big that it is an eyesore - and the magnet is strong enough to stay firmly in place on my dishwasher without using the additional adhesive tape. I am very happy with this purchase!

This piece looks nice for the type of product it is, it doesn't look like cheap plastic. The only issue I have with it is the sliding section slides too easily. Brushing up next to it can move it to the other side. I've moved it around to different places on the dishwasher to try to find a spot where maybe we won't brush against it too much. As one reviewer suggested, it would be nice if it "clicked" into place when you slide it. I would give it 4-1/2 stars if I could because the magnets are strong and it looks much nicer than most of the products for this purpose.Update: 11-17-17 The company contacted me due to my earlier review about the sliding section moving too easily and said they have fixed the problem and they sent me a new one to try it. Whatever they did works!! It doesn't look any different but the sliding sections stays in place until you move it yourself. So nice to see a company that pays attention to reviews and then does something about any problems they see.

I have included two important photos.Photo of the back of the magnet shows one of the most important features - the ability to not mark up and scratch (in otherwords destroy) your stainless steel appliances. The surface is rubberized and has magnets behind it. Great! I would be very unhappy to have my brand new dishwasher marked up.Photo of the front of the magnet on my dishwasher from about 5 feet away - easy to read.The magnet overall is well crafted, and looks nice, it slides well. However, as an annoying negative - which I'm not sure if there is some easy solution to , it's not ' childproof .' By that I mean, my 2-year old find its fun to slide the slider back and forth. So, I've had to relocate it to the top of the fridge. Not ideal at all. So, if you have children, beware! This issue probably affects most of these types of products, but I feel like there has to be some sort of solution to this. Minus a star for not having a 'lock' or something that makes it so adults only can use it!All in all, good product, but wish my 2 year old couldn't use it as well.

I was crushed when it was sold out, then to my surprise, it was available once again. I quickly snatched it up. It is really slick, cool and functional. Very well-made and looks expensive.To change the display from clean to dirty, simply slide with a touch of a fingertip. The magnet is very strong, therefore, the sign won't shift as you change the dishwasher status. Or, you can opt for the included double-sided adhesive if your dishwasher front is not magnetic. They thought of everything!Don't delay, grab one today - you won't regret it.

This is my new favorite gadget. I always rinse my dishes before putting it in the dishwasher, my kids and husband won't know if they don't examine closely, so they ask me all the time if the dishes are clean or not. When I saw this lovely sign, I knew I have to get. Very high quality. The metal and sign looks very elegant, and the magnet is very strong! Yet, it won't scratch the surface. The glide sign is very smooth without having to put in effort when sliding. Most importantly, it looks very very beautiful in my stainless steel dishwasher. Looking at the quality, I think it will last for many many years. It is very sturdy and one of those product that quality can be compared to Apple products, except that this is not electronics.See it for yourself. I will be buying these for Christmas to my friends and family! Very highly recommended.

UPDATE 12/17/17 I am giving this 5 stars now. The makers of this magnet sent me a new one after my review below. They said they reworked it after my review. Well, I have had it on my dishwasher for over a month now with absolutely no problem. Works great, holding together nicely. I believe it earns 5 stars now. I am not being paid for this review. I do believe that if a product is replaced with one that works, it deserves a new review.I have used this for a few weeks now. Originally I loved it. However, this week the magnet that was glued behind the sliding portion that says "dishes" came off. Now when you open and close the dishwasher door, is slides over and misrepresents what is actually in the dishwasher. There is no way you can remove the sliding "dishes" and replace/reglue the magnet. Disappointed.Sandy R
