The Big Bang Theory: The Twelfth and Final SeasonLeonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists – geniuses in the laboratory but socially challenged everywhere else. Enter beautiful, street-smart neighbor Penny, who aims to teach them a thing or two about life. Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard and Penny have finally gotten married. Even Sheldon has found a female companion, entering into a “relationship agreement” with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler, and he recently took their relationship to the next level by marrying her after a long courtship. In their free time, Leonard and Sheldon enjoy fantasy role-playing games with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Raj, Howard and Howard’s adorable microbiologist wife, Bernadette, who is adjusting to life with their two children.]]> Review: Rounded out entire set of all 12 season. Good, new disc. - Helped to finish out our family's full edition of all 12 seasons. I had heard about "the Big Bang Theory" when it was on, but for various reasons was unable to do more than catch an episode now and then. When I retired I built my own house and was likewise occupied and I didn't want to start 'midstream'. So I waited until the series was over. My extended family had almost the full set, so I rounded it out with the last few seasons - and watched them all from the beginning over a few weeks. Absolutely delightful, funny, and insightful tale of super intelligent people, some of their naivety about day to day life. The humor is constant. I loved every minute of it. What will they say next? I miss the characters after it was over. I look forward to a year or so going by and rewatching all again. Hightly recommended. Disc was now; well packaged, in good physical shape. No problems there. Review: A very good final season - The final season of BBT does a good job tying up storylines for most of the characters in a way that gives a "life will go on" feel to it. The major storyline of the season involves Sheldon and Amy's Super-Asymmetry research and the possibility of the Nobel Prize in physics. That leads to a few great appearances by Kal Penn and Sean Austin as rivals to Sheldon and Amy. Raj also gets a major love interest story and the other characters get mostly story-of-the-week arcs. The show continues to get a great slate of guest stars. There are some old favorites (Will Wheaton, Christine Baranski, Bob Newhart, etc.) and some new faces, like Kevin Smith and a great cameo by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the series finale. They also figured out a clever way to do a crossover with Young Sheldon via the magic of VHS. For those who get the blu-ray set, it is set up almost exactly like the prior releases. The 24 episodes are spread out across two discs, as are the extras. Which, for this season, includes a feature on the scholarship fund the show set up for STEM students in the UC system of colleges, a portion of the comic-con panel, and several behind the scenes features and retrospectives on the show's impact. Much more extras than you get from most show's DVD or blu-ray releases. By now pretty much everyone knows what the show is and is not. If you are a fan of the show, then you will likely enjoy this season. If you hated it, then there is not much about this season which is going to convert you. It does a good job still developing the characters, even after 12 years, and manages to balance the large ensemble cast well. Yes, the show uses a laugh track as well as genuine reactions from a studio audience, which will turn some people off, but it is pretty standard sitcom fare. It was, after 12 years, definitely getting "long in the tooth" as a show, and I do think that it was a good time to end it, even though it could have likely gone on for as long as all the main actors wanted to come back. It is definitely worth the pick-up, especially if you have the prior season releases on the physical discs.

Last season -- Well done, funny, ended well
Enjoyed this series - some seasons were better than others. The last season was well done & maintained good level of fun & funny. Good job tying up the pieces -- Often my biggest complaint is series endings, but BBT did a nice job with a cast tribute in character delivered by Sheldon. Sad to see it go, but aging characters made it appropriate after 12 years.

Love it but Sheldon's character is not as Funny show has run its course!!
Im giving this 5 stars because Im a Big Bang Fan fan from the start and loved Sheldon's speech at the end, but from watching one disc this show has run its course. Sheldon is married and lives with Amy across the hall, the women are catty and its obvious this show has run its course. Sheldon was funnier, in earlier seasons as the show was 1-7 are probably the best seasons, but I have the last season because of the touching speech it moved me to tears. Also the special features are excellent LOVE the last table read I watched it TWICE and I cried with them both times..... Its worth the money for any Big Bang Theory fan to get this dvd.

One of the best, if not the funniest comedy on the teve. Great acting, great scripting and the ever so excruciatingly annoying Sheldon. Bravo to the writers! :D

Love the DVD, although annoyed that the disk trays internally are broken and the disks rattle around inside
