There are NO standards for socket covers - unlike The british standards that the sockets themselves have to adhere to. ALL british sockets have shuttered inlets that categorically DO NOT let objects to be poked into them, let alone “little fingers”. The pin sizes of BS plugs are rigidly defined, and controlled - NONE of these so called safety covers adhere to this standard, and are either too thick, too thin or not of the right length. Fitting these covers could actually endanger your life by stretching the contacts in the socket causing arcing of the contacts, or bad earth connections. PLEASE, PLEASE do not be taken in by these things or others like them. If you don’t believe me, perhaps searching the web for “fatally flawed” may help to convince you. They are still a little tight to remove - remember to read the instructions and removal is fine using another plug, upside down. Does the trick and looks unobtrusive. Worth the extra cost.
