Explains with many examples different types of problems. Good for students home school students and give better sample and in-depth understanding than the so called official books school books. I will say through that I did have to complement this with some YouTube instructional videos when my son got stuck

To the reviewer who thought they spotted an error in the formula for distance (see image review), both formulas are equivalent (yours and the book's). (y1-y2)^2 = (y2-y1)^2. I did not find errors in this book. This is a superbly organized book, dense with information that is presented in a format that never overwhelmes with fluff. I have kids with ADHD and this has been the best math book. To the point explanations, followed by a few examples and plenty practice. Solutions are included, along with generous explanations. Easy to follow, well written and somewhat addictive to those of us who don;t like to sit still and browse through the "gentle" fluffy explanations. The book respects its reader's intelligence and time.

Finally, a book smarter than its owner: 5 stars for the ultimate humiliation Title: “Statistics For Dummies, 2nd Edition” Author: Some PhD who clearly never met ME Bought it to flex on my friends (“yeah I casually read grad-level math for fun”) Page 1: “Counting on your fingers is perfectly valid…” Immediate existential crisis By chapter 3 I’m using both hands AND toes to figure out what a p-value is Highlighted every page in neon yellow thinking it would help; now it just looks like a crime scene My fridge bulb has outlived three attempts to finish chapter 7 Dog ate the corner of page 89; even he gave up trying to understand standard deviation Currently using it as a monitor stand because that’s the only mean, median, and mode I can reliably calculate 10/10 would buy again just to keep reminding myself that raw IQ points don’t help when you still count on your knuckles like a Victorian child Highly recommend if you want 400 pages of pure ego demolition. The book won. I’m the dummy.
