Photographer's Guide to the Nikon Coolpix P1000: Getting the Most from Nikon's Superzoom Digital Camera Paperback – Illustrated, 24 Oct. 2018

This was a present for my husband and he is absolutely over the moon with it. No pun intended. There is a lot to learn about the settings but he's got plenty of time to learn with help of various people and books. Loves it such a special piece of equipment.

A great book to get to know more about your Nikon P1000. Very informative and written in a way that keeps things simple but understanding.

This book explains well what is in Nikons online manual . The author writes lots of similar books for all new cameras some are very good and some not so. The Coolpix P900 manual was excellent this one midling. Reading it I didn't feel he took the camera out and properly used it, no real tips on using it in the field . The Coolpix P1000 is a great camera and a big advance on the P900 . This is a birders camera ,you can use it instead of a 0-60x monocular it has optical steadying of the image plus it takes great pictures ( I-Phone quality its true ) the exposure is easy to adjust for sky shots and it can shoot in raw for increased control . Could have done better !

Such an informative book written in easy language and well explained for even the most bigger to photography.If you have a Nikon P1000 you NEED this book.

The photographer's guide to using the Nikon P1000 bridging camera is clear and concise for digital photography with good illustrations. I do not use video so cannot comment on this function.

This book is a great guide to the Coolpix P1000, easy to understand and follow the instructions. Written for people who can take photos, then it shows you how to take great photos.

Not used my camera related to this photographic guide has it's a Christmas present. But I have read this book in advance of getting the camera it really makes it simple to understand the complexity of the camera. Now I can't wait for Christmas. 😀😍

Finding my way around my camera

If you have a P1000 and are an amateur photographer this book is really the ticket to great fun with this incredible camera. It covers all aspects of this camera in simple language,

Alexander White writes the best books. I bought his P900 manual to use with my P900, so after I got the new P1000 camera I checked every other day to see if his new book was available. It's loaded with illustrations and is well-indexed (more than six pages of index). In his books, the illustrations actually match what you see on the camera. It's not like other manuals that tell you to go to Screen 2, but don't explain how to get there. Or they say go to Screen 2 and click on Item 3 -- but when you find Screen 2, there is no Item 3. In White's books, the language is simple, clear and easy to understand. If you're going to spend $1,000 on a P1000 camera, you might as well spring for a few extra bucks to learn how to use it. I bought the PDF version for my laptop, and I also bought the print version. I prefer the print because I can sit at my kitchen table with the book and the camera, and page back and forth quickly between sections.
