Amazing watch for the price
Update Sept 2021: 2 year update. Watch is still awesome. It is my go to daily wear. I see a couple negative reviews and don't get it. Can you read instructions? If so, you can operate this watch pretty easy and after a few repetitions there is no need to refer back to them. I've had zero issues with battery life or charging. This thing is a beast. I purchased a screen to prevent scratches and that has been awesome and kept it looking brand new. It is super light and comfortable and I love the easy read of the face. It lands somewhere between casual and office, but I wear it to more formal occasions too. I wear this watch over Citizens double it's price. Great watch!! -------------------------------------- 2019 review: This watch is amazing. I’m not a typical “sensor” or multi function guy. I like style, form, and finish, usually Citizen or Seiko. I travel to China for work and I wanted something cheap and simple to display China time and home time in one glance. This fit the bill and I liked it’s look better than other variants of the same model. Now that I have the watch, wow! It’s rugged, light weight, solar, easy to read, and stylish enough for the office and after hours. After some minor calibrations I find myself checking the weather outlook with the barometer, checking temp, and just love all the features. After perusing the manual, it is quite easy to set up and calibrate. For the price this is an insane bargain! Buy this watch, you will not be disappointed!

A truly awesome Casio pro trek! Just love the dial design and features.
In my personal opinion, this is the best Casio Pro Trek that I have ever owned. I am a big fan of Casio Pro trek & G-shock and I just can not get them enough, even though I already have so many of them. This is one of the very best ones that I have ever owned in my life. First of all, I only paid $189.00 (when similar ones are selling at $279 or so) and I just love how easy it is to read the dial. I love the design and also it has so many useful features and functions that basically it can do it all. I really like the Solar feature, so I do not have to change battery at all and it is big enough (47mm) for my wrist (7.4 inches) and it fits perfectly. The resin band is so comfortable (one of the most comfortable resin bands from Casio) and it uses 24mm band, so I can easily switch up with other 24mm bands. Awesome Casio Pro trek and I have absolutely no complain what so ever.

Don't believe a review about battery issues.
Too bad Amazon stopped allowing us to comment on reviews. Today's most popular review complains about a "LOW BATT" indicator, but he also states he uses the auto-light feature that illuminates the watch with a rotation of the wrist. That is the cause, and that feature should come with a warning from Casio. Avid outdoorsmen/boys, my sons and I all wear Casio three-in-one watches. One son's watch went through a LOW BATT episode. Since his was identical to the one I wore at the time we tried swapped watches, but since this didn't help, we knew it wasn't a user issue. I compared settings and found the only difference to be the auto-light active on my son's watch, and that turned out to be the problem. I turned it off and problem solved. We traded back and now more than a year later both watches are going strong, although mine is now strapped to the arm of another son. Those are the PRG-270 by the way, an excellent and bargain-priced watch -- especially when you can find it new from Amazon for under $90, as I did back in March of 2017. I don't know why Casio watch prices vary so much on Amazon, from Amazon as the seller. To wit: I paid $139 for this, my PRG-600, just over a year ago in June of 2020 but today it's listed for $189. It's worth $189; I was shocked when I stumbled upon it at the $139 price that was not any kind of deal, lightning or otherwise. I love this watch. It is thick and heavy, but I'm a middle-aged man who was born wearing a man's watch, so I'm used to it. I had a Swatch back in the 80s and I've had an ultralight dress watch or two but honestly, give me something I can feel, something I know is on my wrist. This does that and it looks great, too, but it doesn't scream money, so I'm not afraid to wear it in a questionable neighborhood. Typical or not I don't know, but my copy is not as accurate as other Casio watches I've had. Still, it it's not bad. It has lost a total of 26 seconds since I bought it, including 16 seconds between the last I set it in November of 2020 and today, July 23, 2021. (I set it to an atomic clock and make a note in my phone's calendar every time I set a watch, noting how far off it is.) This one might not be as accurate as my other Casios, but it is at least consistent. And two seconds per month isn't bad -- I've had much worse. When I was a kid I'd have been delighted with a watch accurate to two seconds per day. The only other caveat for you to consider is this PRG-600 uses the stem to set time and other functions, in a process that is not intuitive. You will not be able to adapt your experience setting Casio digital watches to setting this. I cannot say whether older digital-analog watches used similar procedures because this is my first triple sensor digital-analog watch. I suggest downloading a user's manual from Casio's website. It's free, and as with any Casio watch, to get the right manual you need only the four-digit module number that's engraved on the back of the watch. On this one it's 5497. Overall this is a nice watch with little to fault. Sure, it could be a bit thinner, and despite my earlier comments, a skosh lighter. I'd like it to have a feature to unblock the digital display from any mode, not just modes that require the display (maybe with a long-press of a button). And of course atomic accuracy would be nice, but that comes with an increased price I cannot justify. At this price point this watch can't be beat.

Fantastic watch for an amazing price.
This might be my favorite watch I own and I have several more expensive watches. But I love this one, it’s practical with the timer, alarms, world time (which I have set to London for business reasons), temperature, barometer and stop watch functions . Plus it has a fantastic face. Really great. I bought a fabric band as sometime the rubber bands make me itch, but for some reason this one does not.. highly recommend this watch. Oh and it runs on stored light. Nuff said.

Lovely watch initially fidly to setup that was due mainly to my lack of experience setting this type of watch up. Great display with a highly legible STN type LCD panel. Even the LCD panel is relatively small it's one of most readable because of Casio's STN tech. STN displays are only available on certain models. Strap is thick and built to last, it fits my 8inch wrists. Once setup you have all usual functions which are displayed both on this LCD panel and the analogue display. This watch has additional sensor modes, Temp, Barometer, Altitude. Excellent purchase well worth the money 5*

For those new to ProTrek, this is a nice entry point watch. Very rugged yet clean watch. Surprisingly slim and light. It will be a little big for small wrists. The Legibility is excellent with great Lume application.

I watched some videos and read reviews and bought this based on those. I was very pleased when it arrived - it’s even better than the marketing photos. It is a perfect size and weight and extremely comfortable. I have a G shock that I wear to work and an older solar basic Casio watch (cheap but still works great)and this watch is too nice to wear to work ! It looks hood with semi formal or sweats and jeans. I have 2 Torgoens and a Fossil also and love this watch more than all of them -a great feature is it is solar powered as well so it will run for many years hassle free and you don’t have to worry about using power at all for lights or functions. It has auto illumination and the backlight is great and way to use in low light - has a quick find button like the G shock but isn’t noticeable. All the functions are very decent - just take time to watch a tutorial and read the manual step by step. Temperature is accurate and compass as well. The altimeter is pretty accurate I am a recreational pilot and love the way it works - and it actually tells time well and is easy to read - seems like a novel idea these days in the world of all the smartwatches etc I would buy it again without hesitation
