It is about an inch shorter than the standard crochet hook and about a half of an inch shorter than the regular Clover hook with soft grip. Wasn't sure I would like the shorter but my stitches are more even and I have better control with tighter stitches when needed. Much easier when you have stitches that you are pushing and pulling to work and better tension control with this shorter crochet hook. Bottom line is it is quickly becoming one of my favorite hooks. Love the gold shaft, I tend to work with the dark yarn and this really pops against the yarn making it easier to find the correct position/stitch. I like this type because they allow you to enter the stitch loops more easily. The inline hooks are harder to insert, in my opinion, and catch on yarn loops and disrupt my flow. I can't find my 6.0 but my 5.5mm is 51/4 inches long. **Q: Does this line of hooks come in size K?** A: No, the bigest size is J. **Q: Is the G hook 4.0 mm or 4.5 mm? Is there a 4.0 mm soft touch hook?** A: The G hook is a 4.0 mm hook and the one I have is a Clover Soft Touch.
