Bought this as a gift for my son's kindergarten teacher as well as for myself as a pick me upper at work in the mornings. Works well as advertised. I thought it would have been more of a brilliant 'sunshine yellow' color, it is as the picture suggest mixture of yellow and orange (more orange).

Purchased this mug as a gift and although it changes color with temperature of your beverage, it's not like the picture at all. I purchased two of them and the first remained black while a small piece of the hidden picture revealed. And then the other was the smiley face and it was supposed to turn yellow but turned tan instead. And you could still see the first impression slightly. The people who received these gifts like them because they were aware of that but I don't think I'd purchase again.

You can see the are the color is changing to/from. Other mugs I have don't so this.The frown shouldn't be viewable when smiling.** UpdateAfter a few hand washea yep this is complete garbage. It's a sticker that flakes off... So not buy!

i bought this as a cute Christmas gift. I used it a handful of times and noticed the outer casing has chipped and is wrinkled. I also noticed a chip on the handle, very cheaply made. Unfortunately, I missed the return window, but hopefully this will help someone else from wasting their money.

I guess this mug is somewhat like me: it never fully wakes up. I tried different temperatures, but the greyish-brownish tint persisted and the eyes would never fully de-clouded. I wonder if it is the case with all heat-sensitive mugs.While I never got the eyes as white as advertised I still like this mug. It is funny and helps me to go through mornings.I never washed it in a dishwasher and so far (a couple of months) the paint is still there. I use regular dishwasher detergent and warm water to clean the exterior and scrubber to get rid of the coffee/tea stains inside the mug.

This is one of those items, that depends the batch it is the quality of the product. My works like a charm. I got the one with black and turn yellow when I put coffee on it, everyone that see it thinks its hilarious. For the price you can not complain.

Overall I am happy with the quality of this coffee cup and would recommend it to a friend. I use a Keurig k-cup coffee maker and this cup is just barely big enough for the 10 oz. setting and still allow some room for cream.Pros:Changes color quickly when hot coffee is poured in.The whole mug keeps its color even as the liquid level decreases.Cons:A little on the small side (holds about 9 oz. of coffee with a little room for cream left over).Colors aren't quite as vibrant as shown in the picture.

Ordered the smiley face one as a gift. But they sent a different one. But my friend liked the one received, didn’t want to return it. It doesn’t change with heat, had a message on bottom when it’s tipped to drink from; observer gets the message. Loves it. I can’t give more than 3 stars: can’t rate a cup not received.
