Sturdy and easy to use
I bought the Mitutoyo micrometer base to use with the Mitutoyo digital micrometer. I use this to measure Airguns pellet height and inside depth. To ensure center of pressure is comfortably behind the center of gravity. Has outstanding performance in measurement.

Typical High Quality Mitutoyo Item
I was a little concerned when I saw the "Made in China" on the Serial number label. I've examined it thoroughly and they look just as nice as the previous units made in Japan. With the two units sitting side by side, I can't see or feel any difference in function.
