    terrible

*by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2013*

The sound from the speaker is weak and flaccid. It has no chance of overcoming the inherent wind noise of all but the quietest helmets on the market. Even with the speaker right over the ear, the sound will either get lost in the wind noise of the helmet or simply not make it past the hearing protection a prudent rider wears. I doubt it has to do with weak power from the battery; rather it's probably the construction of the speaker itself that is the problem. I'm guessing the manufacturer sourced the cheapest speakers they could find for this product and if so it was a grave mistake. The Adaptive TPX radar detector was supposedly designed by motorcyclists for motorcyclists. If that was really true why would they give short shrift to such an important component like this headset? It doesn't make sense. Somebody dropped the ball big time. I would not recommend buying this product.

    Makes the audible alert useful.

A must have with the TPX radar detector if you've got a loud exhaust/and or noisy helmet.I have both a 2009 Yamaha R1 with race baffles and a Shoei X-Twelve helmet known for it's high air-flow, wind noise. At freeway speeds, the audible alert sound is still hard to hear even with the speaker right next to the ear, and volume set to MAX.If I could make it louder, it would get 5 stars.

    No sound. dee dee dee

*by D***G on Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2018*

5 star ratings are fake. This product has no sound. This product is made for a scooter. All motorcycles make too much noise, too much wind noise for you to hear this thing work. For me to keep this products, I would have to incorporate a amplifier. I would have to cut the cord, install a female 3.5 mm a Jack, and then I would be able to put in a headphone amplifier. that would probably work but have to be charged also. Maybe the manufacturer could add a Amplifier and charge more money for the product. I'd pay a $100 instead of $60 if it had an amplifier. seems kind of simple that I could figure it out but they can't figure it out. I ended up returning the product because I am using a sena SR10 and it was a $150
