This has helped give us language around personal space using animal characters (his preferred type of characters) and we use the terminology all the time now: "Be space saver, not a space invader!" We talk about how other kids who get in his personal space may not know this kind of information yet, so we should help teach them that they can learn to be a space saver too by using our words to tell them when they are in our personal space. It is enjoyable. The main character's love for being close to other people is seen as a positive trait for home, but not for school. It is an uplifting story that does an excellent job of teaching young kids to respect other people's bubbles, and also that respecting other's bubbles doesn't mean that on has to go the opposite extreme and give up relationship.
