It does look like leather, but it doesn't feel like leather. The PU leather is pretty thin. I really don't think it would last very long as a daily wear hat and suspect it would start to crack and peel with consistent use. I don't know (yet) and don't really care. I will only wear it occasionally. ..The only think I really don't like is that t.The "leather" underneath the bill is stretched so it does not touch the plastic bill inside leaving a hollow space up to 1/4 inch thick. If this gets snagged on something it's going to easily get a hole in it and probably tear resulting in a ruined hat. Even the smallest hole will likely grow exponentially because of this thin material that's not properly glued down. This all sounds pretty negative, but for the price I think this is a pretty good deal. I have no doubt that I will get my monies worth out of this hat. If I were to ask for any improvement it would be that there were some type of adhesive inside the bill holding the PU leather tight (like every other baseball hat in the world) rather than letting it just stretch across the bottom of the bill. I'll wear it until it's unwearable, but doubt I would buy it again.
