Quite and works well. Fan is quiet. You don't need the aac power on the charge usb.

I use this for work, and it’s been durable and helpful. I keep it in my tool box, I do line maintenance for an airline. This is rated to 500W, I can use it to charge a laptop, run equipment etc. I’ve used it for a while now and it works as expected!

This little inverter is perfect for running a laptop, printer, game console or other small device in a vehicle while the engine is running. It will charge all my Milwaukee and DeWalt tool batteries using the fastest chargers. Unfortunately, I needed it to run my solar powered gate opener. It ran the opener fine, but the standby, or "no load" draw was over 5 watts. Times 24 hours, that means it will use about 130 watts per day if I never open my gate. My solar panel makes just a little more than that, so this inverter simply wont work for me. There are other inverters that will open my gate (square wave, 300 watt) that draw only 48 watt hours per day.

The quality control and packaging is an atrocity. This is one of the more expensive units as we wanted something a little more reliable and sturdy. It arrived all beat up and bent and the top USB outlet was messed up. Right out of the box. I tried it out before our trip to make sure that it still works and thankfully, it did. We were still able to power the kids' devices for the duration of our road trip and it seemed like it'll work out alright. I'm not sure what kind of warranty it comes with or what it covers, but this thing took quite a beating during transit to my house so I'm keeping a close eye on it for any issues. Update: I was contacted by the seller shortly after I received the damaged unit and they offered to send me a replacement unit at no charge. The replacement arrived in much better shape. It was the same packaging as the old one so it's clear that the new unit may have had a "safer" trip than the first one. I gotta give them a lot of credit for their excellent customer service The person that I was emailing back and forth with was very friendly and respectful throughout our interactions. At times they were very insistent on me updating this review; I told them I would but since I'm reviewing the product, I would need time to use the inverter and get a feel for the quality and durability of it. We've made several trips with it and it works as advertised. It doesn't seem to get very warm and it's not noticeably noisy when the fan is on. The product and the customer service definitely earned their stars back. All in all, I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a power inverter for their vehicle.

Used this for a 36 hour round trip car ride. It was nice and helpful to be able too charge multiple devices all at once. Unit did not get unbearable hot to the touch. I never noticed the fan kicking on. Kept my hand near the opening and looked every few minutes or so to see if I could see the fan spinning but never did. Will keep an eye on that. But had my iPhone plugged into a USB port, my wife's Galaxy s8 plugged into the other USB port. Kept both of our phones fully charged. Normally one of us has an issue keeping a full charge while using normal car chargers connected to a splitter. Also had my son's tablet and my wife's tablet plugged into the outlets. Both of those stayed charged. Unit never over heated and kept everything up and running. Just need to check on the fan and see if I can get it running just to make sure it works. On a weird note. When plugged into my Prius outlet , both with the device turned on and off, it doesn't allow my car to shut off right away. It's weird as my car will beep at me for about 10-15 seconds and then shut all the way down. Not sure what's causing that but will continue to monitor it.

I just bought this back in July. I have never used it. I decided to use it right now to get me out of a bind just my luck auxiliary plug doesn’t work if I connect to my battery it works just fine. It’s just a cord that is bad if the sellers sends me another cord that’s actually works I will be glad to remove this review. Update:: shorty after I posted this comment the seller made things right and immediately send me not only another cord but also another inverter. That’s how you take care of your customers!!

The inverter works good, but unfortunately the two USB ports quit working after about 9 months. I contacted Bestek customer service and they asked to see a video to show them the defect, or maybe tell me how to fix it. I sent them a quick video and my new replacement inverter arrived the next day. I highly recommend this inverter because it's good, and customer service is excellent.
