Great for going on vacation you don’t have to worry about having someone come watch your fish it or come check on them to feed them. These last 3 days and are super easy to use. You just put the tablet in the water before you leave and it slowly releases food throughout the 3 days it’s dissolving.

This weekend feeder does a great job in maintaining and feeding my fish when away for the weekend. It’s nice to know you don’t have to worry and your fish are being fed. Find it to be an excellent product and well worth it.

The media could not be loaded. So I had to leave for a 13 day period so I put a feeder in and asked the house sitter to put another in halfway through and then my partner fed the fish on his return. The stars look like they have barely dissolved after 13 days. Since I was gone a long time and my partner did nothing more than feed the fish the tank is in rough shape but I was surprised to see that the feeders look like they barely released any food? I will be taking them out and redoing the tank today. I would probably try another brand just so I have something to compare these too.

I use these whenever I go out of town and don’t have anyone to feed my fish. I usually drop 1 inside of my tank and I find it works good for about 3 days. If I’m gone any longer than that, I will use it in conjunction of my automatic fish feeder to be safe. Never had any issues with it affecting my water levels or fish health. Will continue to buy these and keep them on hand in case of an emergency.

I bought this for my fish since I had an upcoming vacation and would be away for about a week, I decided to test it out a few days before leaving and notice it fizzed when I first dropped it in, then a few hours later there was a bunch of white powder underneath it. I gave it a day and decided to try feeding my fish to see if he was hungry, he was completely uninterested in eating so I figured it was working. The afternoon before I left I noticed my fish started to get pulled towards the filter and he was getting weaker and weaker. I turned off his filter and again tried to feed him, no luck, zero interest. I panicked and removed the undissolved portion of the vacation feeder and gave it an overnight cycle w the filter on in the hopes once I removed the block he would get better. Nope. As I’m heading out the door for my trip, I noticed my fish was now floating vertically and struggling against the filter, one last failed attempt to feed him and I left. I had my mom check in on him during my trip and one day in he was already dead. He was perfectly fine for MONTHS before this vacation feeding was in his tank, so there’s no doubt in my mind this is what killed him. If you care about your fish at all, DONT buy this product

I have used these in the past with no problems. But this batch……. I know our Betta was a picky eater so I’m not sure if he simply refused to eat. But the plants in the hydroponic system also seem off. Fish and plants were fine until I used the vacation feeder. So…..use with caution.

The fish survived. We came back after a week of vacation and they seemed pretty happy to be alive, lol :) Will buy again.
