SportPet Designs Plastic Kennels Rolling Plastic Wire Door Travel Dog Crate - Medium, Gray (CM-2001-CS01)

Can’t understand why this is a frequently returned item. Maybe because it’s larger than what people think? I have a 24 pound big cat and have been traveling with him in a medium size metal crate. Crate is too big and I think he would prefer something smaller so he feels safer because he hates to travel. We’re typically in the car no more than 2.5-3.5 hours. Have looked at a number of pet carriers because he’s so big that most the small crates are too small, he would destroy a soft crate and the larger crates are too big. Found this one and it was purrfect. He can stand up and he can turn around because he’s a cat, even though he’s morbidly obese he’s amazingly bendy and squashy. He also didn’t allow me to put it together before he claimed it. I had to assemble it with him in it and assembly was very easy, great design. Excellent sturdy construction, we do not plan on traveling in a plane so I can’t speak for that, the “certificate” it came with saying it was plane compliant was dated 2013. Things may have changed since then but there’s no way an animal is getting out of this without assistance. If you’re planning to travel on a plane, just try to make sure there will be no loose monkeys because they could definitely figure out how to open the door. We will be taking a trip fairly soon and I hope that he is happier in this than he was in the metal crate. Of course he wouldn’t cooperate to get a side-by-side picture and he looks too big in the video where he’s standing on top, but the crate accommodates him beautifully. Well ventilated, but won’t allow him to stick his fat paw through to claw shred my car, cool water/food dishes and stickers to stick all over it letting everyone know it contains a LIVE ANIMAL. Could also be used for a raccoon as long as his hands were not too tiny, so as not to reach them through the door to open it from the outside.

This is a fantastic kennel; we didn't get it for dogs, we got it for our ferrets for when we travel. It's huge, it's easy to put together, it's super secure and it breaks back down for storage (and you can stack them either XL -> XL -> XL -> XL or XL -> L -> M -> S; so it's real large can but can easily have a minimal impact depending on how you choose to store it. But then this is also made by SportPet Designs; I don't want to say what my situation was specifically but I can tell you that this company took care of my issue without hesitation; as a result, they got my loyalty and when I need more cages, I'll be coming right back to them.

This is the absolute best quality Pet Carrier I've ever had! The double handles are a must! And the wheels are SO convenient especially when traveling. Super easy to pit together. Took me about 10.minutes.

Absolute game-changer for traveling with my German Shepperd. It’s incredibly sturdy and well-built, with thick plastic walls and a strong wire door that feels secure and reliable. My dog immediately felt comfortable inside because the crate is very spacious, giving him plenty of room to stand, turn around, and lie down without feeling cramped. Used it for airplane travel One of the best features is the smooth-rolling wheels, which make moving the crate effortless—even when you’ve got a 80+ lb dog inside. The wheels snap on and off easily, which is perfect for airport travel. Assembly was surprisingly simple, and the crate meets airline requirements, giving me peace of mind for flights. Update: Wheels started to come out, I had to glue them.

Beautifully engineered and designed, very sturdy construction for appropriately sized pet. We have two large cats that fit comfortably inside. Very easy to assemble and take down if necessary. Also, airline approved for travel. Not much else to say except this is a GREAT carrier for the price. Highly recommend.

High quality. I felt that my cats were very safe during transit on the plane. Definitely worth the price. Sturdy but not too heavy.

Absolutely love this kennel! It is so easy to put together and take apart for easy storage purposes. It locks in real tight that my very easy escape artist of a dog can't get out! The wheels are the perfect addition to this kennel because it makes it so easy to transfer to different places and or get around with. It's also super easy to clean out if any accidents happen, as it unattaches in the middle!

Good quality durable worth money

We used this crate for our trip to California from YYZ, and it worked perfectly. Our furbaby is a mini Aussiedoodle, and while we probably could have gone with a smaller size, I’m so glad we chose this one. The extra space let him move around comfortably, just like in his crate at home. I was able to add a couple of his toys, one of his beds for padding, and even our shirts for scent and comfort—everything fit nicely and helped him feel safe and familiar. We also started preparing him for the trip in advance by doing daily “loops” around our condo with the crate. We called it his “plane room,” and used that phrase consistently to reinforce that going into the crate meant going on a plane ride. By the time travel day came, he was completely comfortable and confident inside it. The crate comes with easily removable wheels and all the required airline stickers, which made setup simple. The only small downside was that the airport zip ties only fit through one set of holes. Not a huge issue since the crate locks securely, but the airline prefers both the top and bottom zip-tied for extra security. The side windows were another plus—our pup could see what was happening as we wheeled him around the airport, which helped keep him calm. Overall, this crate made traveling so much smoother and gave us peace of mind knowing our furbaby was safe, comfortable, and prepared. Highly recommend for anyone flying with their dog!

The brand new kennel arrived in tact , as advertised , all parts included, metal screws , ' live animal ' stickers for all sides as well as an ITIA certificate from the manufacturer stating approved essentials for flying. Medium kennel, perfect for my 63cm long Maltese. Plenty of space inside for standing and turning. Very happy after a long search between different kennels, manufacturers and hundreds of reviews. Just a note: I am not using the bowls supplied for the flight, even though perfect for cage , but ordered a ball mechanism container, refillable from outside . No mess.
