LeSportsac Signature Small Satchel Handbag

I wanted this as my travel bag for a recent trip and I wasn't disappointed. I love the gray with the "not over the top" floral pattern, which will transition easily from winter to spring.Pro's:-Not too big, not too small. At first I thought it might be too small, but with 2 outside side zippers (that will fit an Altoids box easily), 2 zippered slots and one open slot inside, it was just right to carry what I needed. I carried a full size wallet, a Galaxy Note phone, Kindle Fire, small emergency kit, some tea packets, lipstick, lip balm, face powder and a few other things. I did use a small purse organizer and that was very useful.-Doesn't show a little dirt-hence, the gray!-Can be used as a hand carry or over the shoulder bag. The long strap can be removed if desired. It's not quite long enough to use as a cross-body bag, because I am a plus size woman, but, on a more slender person, this could easily be used that way.-The color of the hardware is understated. I don't like flashy, so the gunmetal color is a nice change of place.-Strapping is sturdily sewn, as is the rest of the bag for that matter.Cons:-Price. I didn't hesitate, even though at the time there was no feedback, but this company is typically reliable. That being said, I wish it was a bit cheaper, because then I might order another!-The inside lining isn't tacked down on the bottom. It's a minor annoyance, really. When I pull my organizer out, it lifts the lining up slightly.-The bottom isn't rigid enough to really use the pegs on the bottom. I think the pegs are just for looks, because the bag sags a bit in the middle, since it is semi-rigid. I never set my bag on the floor anyway, because really, that's where our feet track all manner of crazy things around!This isn't a pro or con, but just for your information. The main zipper is actually 2 zippers that meet in the middle. You can, of course, pull one all the way over to one side if you prefer.

This is truly a beautiful handbag; the patent, gold hardware and leopard exterior, the cream and brown signature interior. It broke my heart to return it, but I had to and here is why. It just would not stand up on its own or retain any kind of shape. I thought it would look like the picture but it doesn't. The bag in the photo must be completely stuffed to the top. This handbag completely collapsed, even when I tried putting a clear vinyl purse organizer in it. In addition, since it did not stand up on its own, the zipper was very difficult to open and close. And there was no tab to hold onto when opening and closing the zipper, which might have made it a little easier. I know it's a nylon bag, but I still don't understand why they couldn't have designed it so it would retain some sort of shape. I purchased a Baggallini satchel on Amazon, which is also nylon and lightweight, and that one stands up and retains its shape even when empty. I wish this bag was like that. If it were, I would have kept it and given it five stars.

This bag is a good size and basically I like it. I like that it has pockets on the end sides and two zippered pocket inside and an open pocket. I always love LeSportsac pocketbooks. However, there are two problems I am having with this bag: (1) the zipper is hard to slide, especially over the turn to the side. I rubbed soap on the zipper to make it zip more smoothly. It helped a little. (2) The other problem is on either end side, where there is piping, the area is bowing in. I push it out and a second later, it bows in.

I really like this purse. It's roomy enough for all my needs, yet not overly large. The zipper is a beautiful gold, but has a tendency to be a little difficult to zip. Otherwise, a lovely purse!

The design of the bag itself is nice but the lining was a snake skin print when I got it. It wasn't the coral color that was advertised. It would've been nice to know that they ship whatever the hell they want as opposed to what is in the description and picture.-wife of A.Collins

This LeSportsac Satchel is dressier than the LeSportsac bags that I use for every day and for travel. Love the light interior lining which really helps to see inside plus it has several zippered pockets. Very happy with this purchase.

I like it a lot - right size and the two ways to carry is helpful. Only partial negative - the zippers are a little sticky. Maybe they will loosen up later?
