You had to go into the firestick menu and setup to add this to the bluetooth pairing list but once that is done the stick usually finds it quickly out of sleep mode. This is soooo much better than scrolling to spell. It has a separate on/off switch. I only have 2 minor gripes. There is no backlight and the secondary characters are blue and skinny letters on grey buttons. Not the easiest to see. There's no buttons on the back. Plain white on one side, keyboard on the other.
