Works very well
Performs very well. Well built, a little on the pricey side. If any pinfish are escaping I haven’t noticed as its been pretty full. Probably won’t catch the big pinfish due to the size of the opening but it does well for the smaller live bait sized pins. If the openings were bigger you’d catch bigger pinfish but lose a lot of the smaller ones which are ideal for speckled trout and slot reds. I just fill it with the scraps from the fish I fillet. That seems to be the best bait at least where I’m at. Plus it’s free.

Pinfish Trap
My second trap as continuous emersion in saltwater will destroy anything other than high density plastic or stainless steel

Catches bait and tears up your hand
product is built well except for one issue; the sellers did not trim the sharp edges on the wire around the perimeter of the access door. Thus, the first time I use the trap, I caught 15 pin fish and also bloodied up my right hand. The next day I took out my Dremel tool with a small stone grinding wheel and smoothed them all out. Given the price point of this trap, the manufacturer should have taken an extra 5 minutes and done this for the buyer.

Dont waste your money
This trap is POORLY designed for pinfish. After baiting it and deploying twice it got ZERO fish. The better designed traps in the same plce got dozens. These are worthless.

It works
It actually works and it is also true it will cut the heck out of you. So be careful. Here is a pic of the performance of it compared to one I bought at my local bait shop. Used the same amount of bait in both at the same time. Yep. The bait shop was another good egg.

No decent sized fish can get in. Only very small minnow.
Way smaller than the video advertised. The 2 small entries are so small that most of the fish trying to get in couldn't. And I need the bigger ones to make it worth my while, to go after the bigger predators.Unless you wanna take the time to reshape and remake this thing, this is not a good buy at all.And even worse, there's no place to hold the chum/bait. So most floats on the top of the cage, where the fish can get to it from the outside of it.If I wanted the small bait, I'd have just bought a regular minnow trap.Don't know how the fish are in Fla, but in Oh we need bigger minnows to catch bigger fish.

Thank you, Bandito!
Best trap I’ve ever used. Bought one, and catch about 150-200 pinfish in two hours. Also, I have caught some small grouper, triggers, and grunts. Disregard the bad reviews, they don’t know what they’re doing. Now, I’m back to buy two more. Also, shipping is faster than advertised. Lastly, the edges on the trap door are extremely sharp. Your choice, gloves or cuts.
