I bought this based on the good reviews and felt that I was taking a bit of a risk - a solar lantern after all, how good can it be?! I shouldn't have been worried because the unit looks good (not cheap), it's fairly sturdy and the light lasts a good long time (I've come down in the morning and it's still working). The light itself flickers like a candle, it doesn't give off enough light to read by (not that I would read by the light of a candle normal but it'll give you an idea that's it's not going to light up your patio) but it creates a really nice effect.I did have a minor problem because it arrived with a broken pane of glass but I can't fault the customer service and this was very soon rectified - this shouldn't put you off buying this if you are thinking about it ... I'm very pleased with it.

I wanted a lantern to jazz up the outside of my flat - I have other outdoor lighting for functionality, so the solar panel (and light) was just a pleasant bonus.This is decently made - feels sturdy, the structure is true to the pics, and the loop to hang it is nice and strong so I'm a happy customer. In terms of downsides, I do feel that the light within it looks a bit *too* artificial, the first night it looked like a 'streetlamp orange' rather than warm candlelight (or the stock pictures/photo from the other reviewer) - as the sunnier days roll in though, it may improve with a good full day of sunlight to soak up. Either way, it's small potatoes to me - it's well-made, it's versatile, and it looks a treat hanging up. Would make a lovely Christmas decoration too.

Quite a sturdy lanternlooks nice and light comes on at night well pleased.

I bought two lanterns and am delighted with them.They are hanging on an unsightly metal pole in my garden which needs painting,but the lanterns have already transformed it. At night the lights flicker with a warm golden glow and last until morning. If you need a bright light go for a different type but for decoration these are excellent. Thanks everyone.

Rusted badly within 3 weeks. Severely disappointed as bought this in memory of a loved one and it looked so lovely when we had it. Not had much rain so just ridiculous

First of all, the colour on the photograph - always tricky of course - looks a lot softer than in reality. It does say 'Hyacinth White', but I was hoping that would be a more creamy, golden white (judging by the photo). However, it is PURE white.Secondly, although it really looks good when it gets dark, and the candle flickers just like a real candle, the effect only lasts for a few hours. Now, in December, it is dark by 4pm, and the lamp looks lovely until about 7pm, by which time you can hardly tell if it is on or not. And that is after a sunny day! If it is a dull day the effect is even shorter...Maybe in summer it will be more useful, when darkness falls later. Still, I like it for the couple of hours a day it affords me pleasure.

Beautiful, well made lantern, looks truly lovely in the garden, so impressed, I bought five more! Soft amber glow stays all night long and in the daytime the ivory lanterns look magnificent alongside the garden flowers. I will bring them inside at Christmas, when they will undoubtedly provide a delightful festive glow. Highly recommend, would make a lovely gift.

Premetto che l' ho acquistata in un momento in cui era scontatissima, pagandola poco meno di 30 euro. Al prezzo attuale avrei sicuramente evitato, perché mi sembra eccessivo. È indubbiamente una lanterna molto ben fatta, solida ed elegante, tanto che ero indecisa se tenerla in casa o metterla all'esterno, ma, essendo una lanterna solare, anche se fornita di una batteria ricaricabile, che senso avrebbe avuto tenerla all'interno? Ho optato per il balcone, dove è in parte riparata dal tetto e dove riceve luce solare parecchie ore al giorno. Posso dire che, nonostante siamo in inverno, dopo una giornata di sole, si accende al crepuscolo e resta accesa tutta notte. Ha una luce intensa e tremolante, non dico che sembri quella di una candela, ma l'atmosfera è assicurata. Anche dopo giornate nuvolose si accende e fa una bella luce. Soddisfattissima.

ATTENTION (!), si vous cherchez des lanternes "éclairantes" ce n'est-pas là leur fonction !Ce sont des lanternes balisantes et décoratives.Livrées avec une pile rechargeable R06 (qui peut être rechargée avec n'importe quel chargeur secteur adapté. Perso, j'utilise un chargeur d'appareil photo), elles se rechargent via le capteur solaire, qui s'ouvre pour un nettoyage intérieur si besoin est...SURTOUT (!) ne pas s'inquiéter si l'eau de pluie entre à l'intérieur de la lanterne, la led vacillante est moulée à l'intérieur de la bougie, et donc ne crains en aucun cas l'eau de pluie !..Le métal est peint en première couleur Or, puis brossé (pour mon cas), couleur blanche.Du plus bel effet, et de TRÈS très très bonne qualité !

Esta linterna es muy bonita. Se mantiene brillante en el patio desde el atardecer hasta el amanecer y está bien hecho.
