Can be assembled by the age 5 child as indicated on the box. Just needs help securing pieces together. Fun concept and was a great gift for Easter. Would recommend.

My almost 5 year old son enjoyed putting this together with very minimal help from me. It was a small enough build for him to not lose interest, but big enough to take some time and see the build come together. I like this size for his age. He really loved the sawshark figure the most.

Fun and simple to put together and it really floats. There are not a lot of Lego boats, so this is a fun set for having something “different” in your Lego collection. Some neat diving accessories for the Lego figures, too, like tanks and fins. Note: The stickers on the side of the boat would probably come off if you used it in water a lot.

After searching the best gift for a 5-year-old, we decided to go with this one because of its uniqueness. This set is perfect as a gift, it is easy to follow with great little details. With its good price, I highly recommend to any young kids.

This will be okay for my child who doesn't care if her birthday gifts' boxes are bent, but I could not give this as a gift to someone beyond my household. The Lego set is totally cool. It will get my children even more psyched for our diving vacation.

It floats!!!! I repeat, this boat floats!!!! Our LEGO obsessed child had been on a mission to build a lego boat that would easily float in our pool without sinking. He worked hard all summer and had a few winners. As a reward for never giving up my husband ordered this on a whim one night. This kit was easily built by our six year old (with help from his dad of course) and it floated! Hours and hours of fun have been had.
