Black Ceramic/Induction Hob Epoxy Repair Putty Kit - Repair Chips & Broken Egdes

Worked really well to fix a chip in my induction hob. Easy to use. My only wish was that the colour was darker, as (per instructions) if you mix equal parts of the white and black pastes you get a sort of dark grey colour, the hob is black. Otherwise a great and cost-effective fix for an unsightly bit of damage.

I was sceptical that this would work on our ceramic hob where someone had dropped a jar a few inches and had taken out the corner. I thought that if it did the join line would remain. The product was extremely easy to apply at both stages (putty and then laquer. Ar first the repair line was evident because of the difference in colour between the hob and the repaired corner but within a couple of hours this line had disappeared. Compared with the cost of a new hob the cost of the repair kit was negligible and well worth it.

Much easier to use than I had imagined. - despite the fact I was faced with an awkward chip and an extended vertical crack. Even before adding the high gloss lacquer the repair was difficult to see once the putty had dried.

The resin works well but is grey next to the black of the hob. Not sure if it was my proportions or the product. It dries well and has filled the chip and sharp edges.

The product is a simple and effective solution for cracked or chipped ceramic hobs. I dropped a bottle on my ceramic hob and the damage was around 1 cm x 0,5 cm chipped area. Follow the instruction, don't rush. It is like working with a silicone, use wet finger to smooth the filled area and let it dry. It is never going to look the same but repair is barely visible from the eye level distance. Good product. Recommended.
