Amazon Essentials Sweatpants for Men, Fleece, Closed Bottom (Available in Big and Tall)

Just got these and as soon as I tried them on I knew I had to order another pair. I wear sweatpants to bed most of the time and I like soft and thick and these are both, very soft feel on the inside and thicker than most bargain sweatpants. These are made in Vietnam instead of China so that's probably a good thing as well.I will likely order more in the future as long as they don't somehow mess up a good thing. A few things I must have in sweatpants, pockets, stretchy waist & stretchy cuffs and these have all 3.

Updated 3/2025: I recently purchased these again, in navy like prior, and the current product sheds like CRAZY. I washed them once before wearing them and the inside still shed like crazy on the initial wear. Not a few small pieces of lint, I'm talking dozens of large pieces of lint all over the place on the floor every time I took them off- it was never ending- and I'd just vacuumed!After a few days I gave up that they'd stop shedding and turned them inside out and washed them twice, and then dried them; they still shed some after this, but it's a huge improvement. So definitely wash them inside out multiple times before wearing them. With only the two new sweatpants in the dryer, the lint filter was completely covered halfway thru the cycle. So, minus one star for the shedding. The old ones I have were also a cotton/poly mix, and they didn't do this; I'm not sure what changed, but something has. Overall, still a decent product at a good price, but not as good as before; even after only three washes there is significant pilling on the exterior, but they're small in size so it's not really noticeable. Otherwise, fit is still true to size and construction quality is fine.Original review: (was 5 stars): I haven't bought sweatpants in probably 10 years and these replaced the old-school Russell, or similar. The fit on these is snugger than my prior baggy but properly sized sweats, but that's not a bad thing. I'm a 32-33 waist and 32 inseam and the medium fits great and is long enough. The waist is tight enough that I don't need to use the drawstring. I wear these around the house and they're extremely comfortable; the fabric is fairly thick and soft and the quality is excellent. If you're just looking for some generic comfy inexpensive sweats, look no further than these; for the price, these are a bargain.

Good, comfortable, warm sweats from this Amazon brand. I have several pairs which I wear as part of my "office" attire (work from home). They've held up well to many wash-wear cycles, with extended wear time.They're very good during cold weather, but light enough for spring/fall. I'd consider them too heavy for working out (or for "summer"), but fine for yard tasks or chores.The heathered version feels a little different from the solid fabric. I also noticed some variation in size, with one L being slightly too short in the rise, and one XL being a bit baggier than I expected. Not sure if that's just my copies, or how pre-shrunk the fabric was. American clothing manufacturers seem to change production a lot, and that can mean things fit differently from batch to batch, year to year, etc.The oldest solid-colored have faded / pilled a little, the oldest heathered doesn't show any noteworthy deterioration although I've worn it dozens of days and goodly number of washes.This style (closed bottom) is my preference for around the house (shoeless), to avoid dragging the fabric on the ground. Unless you're exactly the expected height, open-bottom pants will typically drag and get frayed/discolored/dirty/damp.Be sure to check through colors, sometimes one color is surprisingly cheaper. At these low prices, it's hard to complain about the variation in sizing, and they remain part of my regular attire.

The Fruit of the loom ones I bought previously, stunk.So I figure I would try these and they are perfect:Size is exact - I need to go up one size to get looseness. So if you want a pant-like feel then order your underwear size.Elastic waist - this is important for runs so they don't fall down. This pair was perfect.Pockets - I would say slightly on the small size. But its ok for my use case.Cloth - A+ perfect. Very soft, stretchy. Massive comfort. I'm going order a second pair with next paycheck.I recommend this purchase. So I'll buy this Amazon Essentials brand until they scrimp on quality.

3.5 Stars, would buy again (a different color).I ordered "Navy Space Dye" which was shown to be about in the middle of their Navy and Blue Heather. The actual color is almost identical to the navy in darkness. If you look extremely close you can see the lighter spots/lines (what I think of as the "Heather" effect) on them. But it is so dark (which I was not wanting) as to be the same as the Navy that is also listed.Waist elasticity is very low, unless they are tight you will need to tie the waist as well. The elastic alone will not hold them up on me. Ankle openings are almost the same size as the bottom of the legs with no bunching to fit tightly around ankles. The elastic in the ankles is very weak as well and does snug the leggings closed.The seams all seemed (pun intended) tight and strong with no loose threads to catch the first time I wash them and cause them to fall apart. Outer leg seam is a double stitch, which impressed me for the price-point. Inner leg seam is a normal cheap single stitch.For the price point I have no initial regrets at this time.
