Great product. I have no trouble whatsoever reading the display. Granted, if someone has a visual degeneration or other types of illnesses, I cannot speak to that. But as someone severely myopic, with very strong prescription eye-glasses, I have no problem whatsoever with this display: it is bright and everything is quite legible. Furthermore, I called their service number to enquire about the plastic basket's BPA content or lack thereof. The American customer service woman said that all their products are BPA-free but that she would check to make absolutely sure. She called me back the same day while I was out and left a message apologizing for taking too long and said that she would have the information soon. The day after, she called again to confirm that the scale's plastic is BPA-free. Wow. I received the scale on Monday, today is Friday: I made two breads and a set of cinnamon brioches. Everything came out fabulously well. So, the measurements are exact. Super easy to use. I highly recommend this item.

While the scale feels a bit flimsy, its accuracy and repeatability are top notch. I tested it out with a set of laboratory scale weights at different weights between 1 to 100g, and it was always dead on accurate, both as I was adding weights to check higher values and taking them off to recheck for consistency. I like that you can set it for (indirectly) measuring volume as well as mass in both imperial and metric values. A plus is the choice of weighing in ounces only or in pounds/ounces. It's a little disconcerting that the display will - presumably artificially by software - slowly change values when you add or remove something, but once the numbers stop changing you can be comfortable that the value shown is accurate. I also like that the oval bowl that comes with it can be inverted and placed over the scale to protect it. This keeps things from being left on the scale, which could affect its accuracy if they were heavy enough. As for complaints that the display is too small to read, I have to disagree. The numbers are very easy to ready, and while smaller, I don't have any problem reading the current measurement unit on the display either. So while I would have liked it to be a bit heavier and more solid feeling, there's nothing wrong with how this scale works.

My old scale broke so I ordered this Etekcity Food Kitchen Scale Bowl to replace it. It works very well and is easy to use. I use it to weigh my food for Weight Watchers and also when following a recipe. I love this scale and recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to use kitchen scale.

I really like this scale and would have given it 5 stars, but I do have issues with no background light on the LED screen and this would be helpful because the emblems showing liquid or solid measurements and the letters showing ounces and pounds are really small, making them hard to read if you're not very close up on the scale. The weigh numbers are an adequate size to see easily. Overall, the scale works very well, just needs a few small improvements.

I had never used one of these before. It is so simple to use and very handy to have on our low carb diet to weigh foods to be sure we are not eating too much. It seems to be working beautifully.

I'm dieting and this scale is great. You can use the bowl just make sure it reads zero before you put anything in the bowl. Or you can take the bowl off then put a piece of plastic wrap or paper towel on the scale itself then weigh your item Love it for deli meats chicken nuggets and anything that saids on a package 2 oz just use the scale and when you hit 2 oz that's it. It also does pounds and grams

It's small and amazing for it's petitness. It's pretty on the counter and so far changing from one measurement to another has been smooth. The bowl is easy to clean and store. I would recommend.
