## Description

Batten down the hatches. We’re convinced that the word “dainty” isn’t in Designer Flavio Ikoma’s vocabulary. We take his new Deadbolt innovation as definitive proof. With it, the Seismic everyday carry folder has proven to be outrageously strong without compromising on simplicity or usability—it’s got other folders quaking in their boots. For years, Flavio Ikoma of Presidente Prudente, Brazil toiled over the mechanism that was to become the Deadbolt lock. Finally, it’s perfected: steel bolts interlock with the steel blade and the liners when it’s deployed to yield outrageous strength. The IKBS ball bearing pivot system ensures it opens quickly and smoothly. A prominent button sits at the pivot point on the highly ergonomic G10 handle for simple disengagement. As a finishing detail, Flavio added a discreet torx screw in the handle for deployment customization. Modify the blade detent for an easier or more powerful flip that’s all yours. Seismic sets a new precedent for strength and simplicity. How Deadbolt WorksSteel bolts interlock with the blade when it’s deployed to yield outrageous strength. A prominent button sits at the pivot point for simple, intuitive disengagement without fingers crossing the path of the blade.Specifications:Blade Length: 3.97" (100.81 mm)Edge: PlainSteel: 1.4116Blade Finish: SatinBlade Thickness: 0.15" (3.76 mm)Grind: HollowClosed Length: 5.46" (138.61 mm)Open Length: 9.44" (239.73 mm)Weight: 6.3 oz (178.6g)Handle: G10Style: Folding Knife with Deadbolt® Lock

Review: So far as an EDC it's been great - This is my first experience with this brand, and I know the name and reviews are wonderful and I can't stand a cheap knife I can't trust, so I typically spend a little more for the quality. Thus far as my EDC, it's been solid. The lock feature on this is definitely the best feature, but it does take a little getting used to if you're going to one hand open and close, but very doable. Sharp, durable blade for everything I've used it for, but I haven't really put it through heck just yet. It is a big knife for EDC, but I'm not a small guy, and it fits just fine hanging on my pocket, it just rides further into the pocket than my usual EDC which is a more standard size carry. It's been a good knife and I'll update this if that changes.
Review: This is a very nice piece of equipment! - This knife is extremely solid, and very well constructed. At first I thought it might be too long for EDC, but the location of the clip allows it to sit very deep in the pocket. I like the blade design, and have used it it almost daily as a cutting tool. You get a lot of knife for the money. I am quite happy with my purchase.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far as an EDC it's been great
*by Z***N on April 21, 2021*

This is my first experience with this brand, and I know the name and reviews are wonderful and I can't stand a cheap knife I can't trust, so I typically spend a little more for the quality.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a very nice piece of equipment!
*by S***G on September 6, 2020*

This knife is extremely solid, and very well constructed. At first I thought it might be too long for EDC, but the location of the clip allows it to sit very deep in the pocket. I like the blade design, and have used it it almost daily as a cutting tool. You get a lot of knife for the money. I am quite happy with my purchase.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big Hard Use Folder
*by R***0 on November 3, 2020*

I ordered this knife for use on duty as a LEO. It's large, such that it will still feel large in large hands. It is easy to hold (manipulate/open/close) even when wearing gloves, and it came with a razor edge that has lasted awhile without needing to be sharpened. For about $100, I have not found many knives that handle abuse like this. I've had mine for several months and still enjoy it. I went with all-black because I liked the partial serration and I work during the night. As someone with more knowledge than average of knives, someone who carries a knife at all times, and someone who owns entirely too many knives, this knife was an easy 5/5 rating for real EDC. For those of you who simply collect knives and don't really use them to their potential, this may not be for you. In my experience, truly tactical or hard-use knives are not pretty. They are not smooth and sleek. They are chunky, will not slip from your hands, and lock up so tight they seem like fixed blade knives. If you want that, this is the knife for you. If you're looking for smooth, sleek, and pretty then look elsewhere. This one is for go rather than show, folks.
