Synology E10G18-T1 10GB NW CARD W 10GBASE-T PORTS, Black/Blue

Well worth buying the original item that just works. I have had a couple of aftermarket cards to use in my Synology and both failed. This just works, simple plug and play and supports 2.5 out of the box which is what I needed.

Purchased the 10gbe card to use with my DS1621+ because I wanted a rip roaring connection to my NAS. The card does it's job admirably but it's not as straight forward as I originally thought. In reality between my Mac Studio connected to the Synology via Cat6 I get around 260MB/s which is 2.5gbe speeds which to the best of my knowledge is caused by the 3x WD Red mechanical nas drives and the SFR formatting, the drives are the bottleneck. Ultimately I'm happy with that speed but a 10gbe switch was a waste of money. I opted for a QNAP 2.5gbe switch which was much cheaper without any performance loss when compared to connecting via 10gbe. YMMV.

Gave a Synology SAN a 10GbE upgrade along with 2TB front end M.2 cache. If you like speed this does it. Ignore anyone that says a 10GbE network is a waste - they are living in the dark ages, this thing just delivers incredible performance. Its such a joy to use.

Does what it needs to, with no fuss, just a shame that like all synology hardware it costs an arm and a leg, just wish I'd been brave enough to try a network card from another supplier. I did this with the memory and that worked just fine.

Uw netwerk op 10 GB? Met deze kaart heb ik mijn NAS (Synology 2116) voorzien van een 10 GB netwerkkaart, het geheugen uitgebreid, nu is het een supper-NAS. Prachtige upgrade. Let op! Synology valt vies met uitbreidingen, niet elke netwerkkaart wordt aanvaard.

De kaart op zich doet perfect wat ze moet doen. MAAR een Synology RackStation zoals de RS3618xs en RS3617xs willen eens er eender welke PCIe kaart inzit plots niet meer in hun "stille" mode werken en schakelen automatisch om naar een "normale" mode die ruim 3 keer zo luidruchtig is (en zelfs als staat je RackStation dan in de kelder: je hoort het gejank tot op zolder.

Easy to install, pretty much pops right in once the cover is off. Speed is great with 10Gbe infrastructure. The picture is a real screenshot of a 5GB stress test (third cycle) on the current setup with only 5 disks in a DS1821+ at half capacity. No SSD cache. 32GB RAM upgrade, though that doesn’t seem to matter for this test. Other components used: 10Gbe NIC in M1 Mac mini, Netgear GS110EMX switch, this NIC in the NAS, and cat8 cable (not necessary but definitely works). Be sure to use smb, disable logs, checks, and enable jumbo frames (9000 MTU) on computer and in DSM. Was getting less than 100 MB/s on smb before doing that.

Was soll man schon Schreiben der Kühlkörper ist gut konstruiert. Die Netzwerkkarte macht keinerlei Probleme. Für diese mini Größe erstaunliche Performance.

Synology lleva años ya intentando obligar a sus usuarios a comprar sus productos dentro del ecosistema. Cada vez reduce más la compatibilidad de los discos duros, unidades nvme, memoria RAM así como los SSD. Sus productos son excesivamente caros cuando tienes ,en algunos casos, el mismo producto de otra marca a la mitad de dinero. Como siga así, al final conseguirá perder muchos clientes
