i used BHA chemical exfoliates for the longest time because i always read that they exfoliate way more evenly, but i noticed they stopped working as well the longer i used them, and wanted to move to something more sustainable. i've had this for a few months now and i love how smooth your skin feels after you use it. works way better than even the strongest chemical exfoliates i tried. i just throw it in the laundry once a week and let it air dry in the shower and it still looks and performs like new.

I happened across the MicrodermaMitt while I was browsing for a new exfoliating cloth to replace an old one. The price seemed pretty steep for an exfoliating mitt, but the reviews were good, and I was in a "treat yo'self" mood that day, so figured I'd give it a shot.... Not going to lie, I was a bit disappointed when I opened it. It kind of looked like something I'd find in the $1 Deal bin, and it felt so smooth/non-abrasive that I really didn't think it was going to actually exfoliate my skin all that much. I figured I'd been duped out of 25 bucks and that was that.... Next time I went to shower, I almost grabbed my old exfoliating cloth, but decided to at least give the MicrodermaMitt a shot. And I still CANNOT believe how well this mitt worked. (Now, I want to preface this by saying that I religiously exfoliate, twice a week, every week. I've been through plenty of different exfoliating cloths, mitts, scrubs, etc.) I got in the warm shower, gave it a few minutes to soften up my skin, then turned off the water and got to scrubbing. At first, I really didn't think it was doing much. It didn't feel harsh, abrasive, or scratchy like most exfoliating mitts, and honestly, it felt like it was just kind of smoothly wiping over my skin. And then I ran my hand over my freshly-exfoliated stomach, and it was absolutely COVERED with little balls and rolls of removed dead skin (gross, I know). This mitt exfoliated me SO well that I had to stop and rinse myself and the mitt a couple times before I got completely done. And as someone who already frequently exfoliates, I couldn't believe there was THAT MUCH to remove!!! After drying off, and applying a light moisturizer, I still can't believe how smooth, silky, and fresh my skin is. Even though the MicrodermaMitt exfoliated so well, it was not harsh, at all. Usually I come out of the shower a bit red, blotchy, and dry after exfoliating. The MicrodermaMitt didn't leave me red or overly scrubbed at all, just smooth and fresh. In fact, it was so gentle that I even used it on my face immediately after stepping out of the shower. The generous size of the mitt makes it super fast to exfoliate all over, it easily rinsed clean, and the hanging loop is super convenient for storing out of the shower. I will definitely purchase this mitt over and over again, it is WELL worth the price!

I have dry skin and really wanted something to help scrub it off. I tried microfiber towels and other hard sponges and they were OK at best. I decided to try this Body Mitt based on the number of positive reviews and have to say this mitt is amazing! You really need to follow the directions and you have to put some effort into scrubbing. Yes, your skin will likely turn a bit red from the rubbing but it goes away quickly and is worth it. The amount of dead skin that you can remove with this mitt is amazing! I have very rough elbows and generally need to use a fine file to sand them down dry. Using this mitt, I have been able to scrub them smooth! Same goes for my knees. I generally use this about every 2-3 days in the shower and it has made a noticeable difference. Trust me, you don't want to use this in the bath because you want to flush away the skin as you remove it. My skin is much smoother and softer. I liked this mitt so much I also bought their smaller ZitMitt. It's less abrasive than the Body Mitt and it removed all the dry skin from my face and cleaned all of my pores! It actually pulled the blackheads out which I didn't think was possible using just a mitt. If I had to mention one negative it's that the mitt's seams started coming apart after about a month. I wrote to the seller and they were quick to reply and sent me a replacement immediately! Great customer service! The second mitt seems to have stronger seams and has held up really well. I know this Body Mitt is a bit expensive but if you have dry skin then this is totally worth it!

I have a skin condition where I get a lot of extra skin buildup, with itchiness/bumpiness. I had tried different scrubs in the past and loofah-derivative products, along with boar bristle bath brushes, to try to help, but they did not seem to work for me all that well. This product, when following included instructions, was a pleasant surprise. I am able to see the sloughed off skin right on the mitt, and there is quite a lot of it each use, which I could never visualize with other products, i.e. couldn't see their effectiveness. From what I believe I read for the product, it should be replaced every 6 months. I have had this mitt a little over 3 months; I think during 1.5 months in, one side did develop a tear. Caveat is that I do use it more frequently than many others probably do, which is every 3-4 days as my skin needs it often. I don't think I was that aggressive with the use of the mitt, will be trying to sew the tear up, and I will see how future mitts hold up. I will very likely continue to purchase these if they remain at the current quality I have seen.

Game changer for me. I get a lot of ingrowns on my legs no matter what I do. This a couple times a week, and no problems since. Plus I love that its reusable for so long, not needing to buy jars and bottles of stuff that’ll likely give us cancer somehow anyway.

(Picture of my arm ) I was shocked at how well this mitt worked — I could literally see the dead skin coming off! My skin feels so smooth and clean after using it. It’s easy to use, dries fast, and you don’t even need any products with it. I’ve tried other exfoliators before, but this one seriously gives the best results. Definitely worth it!

This would have been a 5 star review if not for the fact that you have to be very careful in cleaning this. Upon first use, I found this to be great. It truly is like a microdermabrasion treatment. I saw all the shed skin sloughed off, kinda off putting, but my skin felt very soft with no feeling of abrasion. I realized when almost finished that debris was inside the mit. So I tried using water to rinse it out, thinking it somehow it got in through the opening where your hand goes in. Nope. It goes through the Mitt. And what's more, not only does it collect inside, in order to clean it out you must turn it inside out and be sure all the creases and corners are exposed well so you get all the debris out that collected in the corners. I found it a bit easier to use it inside out. It's slightly easier to clean, but you still have to be careful when cleaning this thing while in the shower.

After reading reviews, I waffled about buying or not. Does it work? Depending on which microderm mitt you buy, can I justified spending $25-$50?? I think the results will vary person to person based on skip type. So here’s my back story. I am fair skinned, not super sensitive skinned but bruises and flushes easily. I think I have the beginning of KP, but obviously not professional diagnosed. My problem areas are dry elbows and ankles, and what I call chicken skin along my spine and shoulder blades (tiny flesh covered bumps). I purchased the $25 exfoliating mitt. Super easy product to use and got amazing results on first try. Stood in warm shower about 5 mins. Turned water off and used mitt in long, firm strokes. All’s long body dead skin sloffed right off. My skin did get red, but never hurt to use and actually felt wonderful. Post shower with body serum and lotion. I remain super smooth for about 5-7 days before I repeat process again. Mitt quality was great after multiple uses. Would recommend.
